Default Bon Jovi for SuperBowl Halftime Show

After watching the craptacular halftime show last night, it dawned on me, why has Bon Jovi never done this? They'd be perfect. 1. Right Genre. 2. Stadium Rock would translate well. 3. JBJ is big in the NFL world. 4. Theyve played the Thursday opener (I think). The list goes on and on.

The superbowl is in Jersey in 2014. Any chance that Bon Jovi can be the halftime act and we can get some quality entertainment?

Anyone have any insight on this. Can we start a campaign?

Campaigns don't matter to NFL They will decide whoever they think fits the bill of a Superbowl half time show

They're performing at Superbowl 2014 has been heavily speculated many a time. I'm not so certain how perfect they'd be though. Honestly, i didn't hate last nights performance. I've never been a Madonna fan, so i can't claim to love it, but i thought it was solid. Music not withstanding, it had ace production values. Bon Jovi could never match that. Besides, what medley would they string together for us? Odds are It's My Life & Who Says You Can't Go Home would be among them. Prayer, obviously. That leaves room for maybe one more, perhaps Wanted, or Bad Name. I'm just not 100% positive a half time performance from Bon Jovi would be all that exciting.

Ah, I love the sweet smell of innocence in the morning. Madonnas appearance had more to do with her forthcoming album and the NFLs love of money than 'who they think fits the bill', trust me.

Madonna also didn't get payed for the event, she did it for free. Do you think Jon would ever do that?

For SUCH a promotion for a new song? Everyone would do this. You can't geht cheaper promotion and reach as many viewers.

Whilst not American I did attempt to watch last night and as such caught the 12 minute cringe worthy performance. I agree it was big production and impressive, but stripped down it was just a mum doing karaoke on a really big stage!

I think they got it right when they were picking the likes of Springsteen and the stones, it fits. Bon Jovi are perfect for 2014, home turf so the crowd will love it, big stadium songs, well seasoned at commanding large audiences, IML, Wanted, a brilliant new song followed by Prayer....THAT is a half time show!

Yup. I'd say getting a new song heard by that many people would be right up Jon's alley, regardless of payment.

Something about last night's performance seemed so... fakey. Not only the lip-syncing stuff, but all the people and stage seemed... computer generated.
