Aerosmith didnt write the song. Cant remember who did it was the same woman who wrote the theme to star trek enterprise as well tho.
It's Diane Warren. She also wrote for Meat Loaf and others.
Interesting: She co-wrote Wild is the Wind!

Diane Warren is one of the best known song writers around! She's been writing hits since the 80's. She's written songs like "Can't Fight The Moonlight", "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing", "Right Kind Of Wrong", "If I Could Turn Back Time", & "Unbreak My Heart".

Check out http://www.octopusmediaink.com/DianeWarren.html for full discography.

I love Save the World, when I'm in the mood for slow ballads it's fantastic. The way the vocals drift around in the chorus, for me, is fantastic.

I was thinking about a Jovi song yesterday evening when i was watching the movie, but honestly, "Don't wanna miss a thing" is the perfect one for it .... and Steven Tyler's voice in this song is awesome. It's the best choice without a doubt.

I always felt that Save the World was a cheap rip-off from Aerosmith's Don't Wanna Miss A Thing. Like Jon wants to make a movieballad too or something......
