Spot on!
I can't understand the enthusiasm for that song either but couldn't put it into words. But what you said is absolutely spot on. It's the aggressive delivery that we have to give Jon credit for since it's something he hasn't done on the last few records. But he did it on Have A Nice Day (song) as well and I can't remember that this song had been glorified the same way.
I hope that we get an album that is fun listening to. I'd be satisfied with more songs in the vein of Fingerprints and I'm Your Man. I don't think that we will ever get big rock songs like Bad Medicine or Hey God (regarding the guitar input, not the songs themselves). I'm waiting for those kind of songs 13 years now and I guess the hardest rock we got were songs like Everyday or HAND.
When they release the new album I'm gonna buy it for sure, but I can't say that I'm too excited about it right now. Right now I don't even read the articles about possible release dates. If the new album comes in 2016 it's fine, if not I'm still ok with it. Their back catalogue is big enough to listen to a different album everyday without getting bored and I have more than enough audio and video stuff from the last 30 years to spend my days with. Oh yeah, and I'm going to work each day as well

It's the same with a new tour. I always loved the tours, was really excited about upcoming dates, following the setlists and traveling hundred of miles to see 3-4 shows a tour. But with Richie's departure this is gone for me. I only went to my 3 shows in 2013 to have some good time with my girl away from everyday-business at home and to meet some Jovi-friends. The upcoming tour I'm only gonna visit 1 show next to my hometown and that's it. The chemistry between Jon and Richie was the heart and soul of this band's performances. This is gone and the quality suffers more and more.
These days I have more fun with listening to or watching older stuff from their glory days than following the recent developments (although I do daily...

). Jon never wanted to be a nostalgia act, but that's what the band is nowadays.
