WE'D STILL BE STANDIN' WHEN ALL WAS SAID AND DONE! Classic song, classic album. Bit of a surprise given most non-fans only talk about Bon Jovi in reference to singles, and seem to rate Slippery higher than NJ. But definitely surprising in an "OMG they played Always!" sort of way, rather than an "I can't believe they ended the Euro tour with Twist & Shout!" way.

Seems very strange to have Blood on Blood and not Prayer or Wanted. You woudl think the average reader of Classic Rock is unlikley to have heard BOB as it's an album track.
Most of the people who i know that buy classic rock are a tad older than your average Kerrap reader.Classic Rock is the best mag out there and i think its fantastic that the readers voted for a Jovi classic like BOB instead of the mainstream hits.

And, apart from anything else, Kerrang is a simply awful magazine.

Classic Rock is a terrible magazine. The writers are ****ing rubbish, and their features are pretty lame as well

Kerrang is a decent enough magazine if you like that kind of music

Excellant!!! It's deffinitely a nice change to see that in there. Instead of Prayer, etc. etc.

I was watching something on VH1 earlly hours of... I can't remember if it was this Saturday, or the one before. But anyway, It was the best 80's anthems. Prayer won. And the presenter was like, "you can't ever mention the 80's, without mentioning Bon Jovi" It's always nice to see them win something like that. There were lots of other awesome songs in there, so that made it even more special. It wasn't just that and then a load of shit songs. I love the 80's.

Most of the writers at CR were writers in Kerrang back in the day when it was a rock magazine!!Once Kerrap started kissing the arse of artists who didnt belong on their pages it was always going tits up...
Classic Rock is more of a challenge than your average music mag.........Guess we will just have to disagree on its content..

Surely the magazine determines the artists that "belong" on its own pages ... ?

Of course they have the right to print whatever they want but when Kerrang started featuring artists like Eminem they lost the plot. Many of the older rock bands who had been staple contributors to the mag were simply swept under the carpet.I realise that music moves on but Kerrang strayed from its rock roots featuring rap music!!!
Why do they rap??
Because they cant sing!!!

Default retro

To me Classic Rock magazine is a piece of trash - retro rubbish with its head buried in the 1970's. It could be so much more relevant and interesting if it covered more recent bands.

I also think the definative version of 'BOB' is not the '89 MK one but the Moscow version from the peace fesatival with Skid Row, Crue etc. Always sends shivers down my spine that one.
