For Aussies, watch Gem at 12pm (which has passed) or 5pm for Jovi.
He actually got 2 pages in People. One page has this pic on it - http://www.people.com/people/package...877808,00.html. The other has JBJ through the years - 9 pics from 1985 to 2008.

TV show audio has compression on it, which is why it sounds like the way it does in the Bad Name video at 10 second mark.

I wish I could get my hands on a copy.

I did watch Ellen. *sigh* The music did sound a bit weird, kinda warped, but it didn't matter. He doesn't sound overly happy about the GH though. *shrug*

Hey, Dot's no fool--she only allows him hang out with lesbians!

You're right--I really don't think the AMA had a clue as to what do with musicians who actually play their instruments! They're used to the kind of acts that use pryotechnics and video screens and dancers and taped vocals. Which might explain why the crowd wasn't that enthusiastic--unlike with Ellen, how many hardcore BJ fans were likely to show up?

Great (I really liked that) the mention about his restaurant in Red Bank, the one that people pay if they can or help if they don't. That Dorothea and Stephanie help out, his dad cooks and he does dishes when he is around, well... may be they do.

They only sang What do you got. Sometimes they sing more and they play it later on if somebody wants to check it out. I don't need to listen to any more of the same, so this is it for me. Another day, another promo.
I am bad but I don't believe ONE SECOND that Jon and his family are doing stuff in that restaurant for real - at least not that much it's like when he said he would sell ice cream at every soul game ..I admire how JBJ is able to lie that way and sell himself ...I am sure everything he said about that restaurant happened once ... probably with photographers and tv .. but well ... since when mr bongiovi is a cook ? you need a license to cook for ppl like that I think ...

found online that I had read something about it already

I think the article is old already though maybe since then JBJ is much more involved

*** here is the part of the article that I thought interesting ****

Though it’s a collaboration with Bon Jovi’s foundation don’t expect to see the philanthropic rocker and owner of the defunct Philadelphia Soul arena football team taking orders and delivering food. Markiewicz hasn’t had any interaction with him since the idea took roots. Besides, the Middletown resident is going on tour next month in support of his new record.

Seating at the Soul Kitchen is by reservation only and is open most Friday nights. This week’s menu includes French onion soup, salad, beef stew and roasted chicken. To make a reservation, call 732-291-7232. Alcohol is not allowed.

You don't need a license to cook, the restaurant has to pass a health inspection, and there are some permits and licenses with the state and city, all of which this place has I'm sure since it's a non profit soup kitchen as well.

I didn't and haven't watched the interview with Jon on Ellen. I think the Soul Kitchen has been a great idea, and regardless of Jon's involvement or lack thereof, I was reminded that they need volunteers so that I can and will do!!

When I said may be they do, I was thinking more about his father, I see him getting involved in something like this. For Jon to be there helping, he needs the photographers and video cameras to be there as well, no... I also don't believe for a second he goes there to help.

And we all know that Jon lies LOL, but wow! I find amusing that people would believe he really goes there to wash dishes. Of course some fans believe anything that makes their "idol" even more on their eyes.

According to a comment in the article that Mireille quoted from there weren't any camera's or photographers when Jon was initially there but who cares, isn't the money that was given to start the charity what matters?? I've said this over and over and over, I live in Monmouth county and there are plenty of charitable acts by Jon and Dorothea that NEVER gets press.

I think it's fine to read/watch/listen with skepticism. I think there are instances of both overly gullible and overly cynical views when it comes to Jon and anything he says or does. Seems the middle ground would be optimal.
