^ Pretty much right.

It's all over the morning programs here. Apparently the crowed of women squealed at the sight of Richie entering the Operah House. Im really interested to see the show now... pitty we have to wait till next year.... even if it is January next year

So they'll tape the show today, fly to Brisbane tonight to do the show, and then fly straight back to Sydney to perform at the Oprah Bon Jovi concert for tomorrow night. Then a days break, followed by 3 straight shows in Sydney over the weekend.

Then, holidays! Haha. Such hard work, but once that final Sydney show is done over, they have at least a 2 months of no touring.

I can't help but think that if Jon was so tired after two nights in Melbourne, he's gonna be dead on his feet after two nights in Sydney. Haha.

There was over 300 audience guests and then I think there was a lot of crew she bought with her too.

Tourism Australia paid for a lot of this. Cheap advertising for Australia though

The band were on the first show.

Can't wait for the shows to air! Hopefully they'll give us plenty of time in advance so I can take the day off work to watch it!

£6million? WOW!

Sorry for the very dumb question but what was the purpose of this show/taping?

If you've seen the past few faltering Australian tourism campaigns, you'll understand.

It is for Oprahs final year and was sponsored by Tourism Australia.

About 500 people were bought over for this including the tv audience and Oprahs crew. So I don't think the cost is that extraordinary.

I would go to Australia in a heart beat if it wasn't for round trip plane tickets starting at $2000+ CAD!

And the long long flight journey, lol! I find it quite hard to cope with the 15 hour + flight to Argentina with a 3-year-old, let alone a longer flight time to Australia. However it is one of the countries I have always wanted to visit. Maybe one day.

Thanks for explaining the purpose of this gig. I still find the £6 million number extraordinary tho. Instead of flying people in they could have invited the local Aussies and that would have been a lot cheaper but I am nobody to say what they could or couldn't have done.
