It is still a rip off, no matter what.

"Something to Believe In -> Don't You Forget About Me by Simple Minds (Similar opening and the "hey, hey, hey" is EXACTLY the same)"

Thats the exact reason i can never get into this track, lyrically its great but the "hey hey hey" bit really puts me off it, i wonder if the guys knew when they wrote it etc etc

HUH, yomamasofat is right, TST is definitaly a rippof of joan osboune.

And Alpha, the songs wich are compared with BJ songs (ie TST), with for example Bruce Springsteen and stuff are also NON Bon jovi songs

I thought her point was that the songs were "almost identical", 'cause she cited the LMBTL / Distance example. But yeah, my second posting didn't make sense. Sorry bout that.

Hide Your Heart was actually written in 1987, for the Crazy Nights album by Kiss, but not recorded until 89. Fun fact: Both Desmond and Holly Knight co-wrote both tracks.

I always thought 'you had me from hello' was a rip off of 'Wonderful tonight' by Eric Clapton - well, the lyrics are basically the same anyway

I was waiting & waiting but absolutely no-one thought of

Prayer -(Sleep)-> IML -(OWN)-> Everyday -(IWTBL)-> Have a nice day

and

You give love a bad name ---> Bad Medicine

Born to be my baby ---> in these arms

Blood on blood ---> Just older

Thinking of it now, These Days is all original & unique in its way, every song - so is DA
