Lol the Bon Jovi nutswingers still believe Bon Jovi is influential like Black Sabbath, Nirvana, Kiss or The Ramones

No matter how many millions they can still sell, they will never be as influential as some of their peers like Def Leppard or Mötley Crüe. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is too far away for Bon Jovi.

So you finally realise that Bon Jovi deserve the Songwriters Hall of Fame, so you go completely off topic and talk about influence.....

I personally also don't think Bon Jovi deserve the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame yet, but with the likes of Madonna and Prince in there (sure they were big influences, but the Rock and roll hall of fame?), Bon Jovi should be in there....

I have no idea if this post is intended at me or not. However, I never ever claimed they were as influential as any of those bands. How could they be? But not every band is Black Sabbath, which doesn't mean that only Sabbath(which by the way, I believe is the greatest band ever) has ever been influential.

Have you even used your brain before writing that sentence? I mean, that just tells me you are a moron. Bon Jovi are much closer to the RnR Hall of Fame than either Def Leppard or Motley Crue...not to mention that they made the UK RnR Hall of Fame before Leppard who are British. Advise: turn brain on before posting!

How Bon Jovi is closer if these two bands influenced more bands than Bon Jovi?
Did you know the Glam Metal scene exploded with Pyromania? That's really a nobable change in the mainstream music, unlike jumping on the Glam trend like Bon Jovi did.

Dude, you failed miserably. The UK Hall of Fame is a joke, did you know it was discontinued like two or three years ago? http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2008...l.of.fame.axed
Nice try, it lasted three years. Please next time post a "serious" hall of fame at least.

my God, now I see why all these people here call you a moron.

1) Bon Jovi will be inducted into the RnR Hall of Fame before both Leppard and Motley Crue (although they started out much later). That's what I mean by being "closer". Do you want to bet? Once that will happen you'll obviously call the RnR Hall of Fame a joke. Not to mention that it's really a ridiculous way of "measuring" influence anyhow and I wonder why anyone would ever bring it up. Bon Jovi will be the first and most probably the only 80s Pop-Metal/Glam Rock/ Hair band to make it, despite not being the most influential one. But being the BEST one will do as well.

2)Just because the UK Hall of Fame doesn't have enough funds to be sustainable doesn't take anything away from the prestige of having been inducted. Look at the other acts who made it and then tell me "it's a joke". You can't distinguish form from content, and you start ridiculous debates which make you look like a total tosser. Have the decency and shut up.

Faggot, if you wanna be inducted in the rock and roll hall of fame, you need to be really influential. Sales and hits will not help you.
Hairbands weren't influential for 90s and 00s trends, but Def Leppard and mötley Crüe influenced more late 80s/early 90s acts than Bon Jovi. That's a fact. Even all the modern Hard Rock bands from Scandinavia cites Mötley Crüe or Guns N' Roses as influences, and none of them sounds cheesie as Bon Jovi.

And for the UK hall of fame, it included your favorite Robbie Williams.

This is a little off topic but..

I want to know why do you think that MC or DL are more influential than BJ?? I totally disagree. MC and DL are very popular bands in fans of Hard Rock but BJ from 80's are also very (maybe even the same) popular.
Every year in poland we have Hard Rock fans party and there you can meet many Hard Rock (inlcuding Hair Metal, Pudel Metal ecc) fans ecc Personally I know many from them. Almost every from them says Bon Jovi in 80's were BIG, GREAT, AMAZING ecc. They are going on many HR bands shows like Kiss, MCrue, Whitesnae, DL, ACopeer ecc and they (almost all) won't go for BJ concert today. They don't like music which they play now but They love what they have don in 80's.

I have friend who is frontman HRock band who love all this 80s stuff (and don't like BJ now) and he is most ilnuented by album New Jersey which for him is greatest album which someone ever done.

Most popular rock bands in Poland are influented by Bon Jovi not MC or DL.

And you know BJ are not only influential for HRock bands. They are also popular in others rock styles (for example Nickelback, Daughtry or Gorillaz) . For me BJ are more influential than DL, MC and I don't agree with your opinion about this influential.

I think Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe are more influential because there are more popular bands citing these bands as influences, more than Bon Jovi.
If you look at the Scandinavia Hard Rock scene, 99% of the bands (Crashdïet, Hardcore Superstar, Vains of Jenna, Private Line, etc) cite Mötley Crüe as one of the main influences. Other popular bands influenced by Mötley Crüe are Nine Inch Nails, Marylin Manson, Backyard Babies, Murderdolls, Linkin Park, Slipknot, The Living End, Papa Roach, Buckcherry, Theory of a Deadman, Drowning Pool, Hinder, Trapt, etc.
Def Leppard put Glam Metal at the top by 1983. How many bands copied Def Leppard by late 80s and early 90s? A lot. Def Leppard was very important for the Glam Metal popularity, they changed the music scene.
Bon Jovi, like Cinderella, Warrant or Poison, appeared later when their style was already established on MTV and radio.

And no one is denying how good and popular was/is Bon Jovi. The most popular Glam band? Of course. This is my favorite band too.
The most influential? Nope.

Ok. I haven't heard that LP or MM were influenced by MC. I will tried to check it because it's interesting,
