That sounds like a nightmare. I'm sure the amount of people wanting in will be much higher than the people they can accommodate.

Becky
i agree. and 3 out of the 4 major sections in Philly are very very bad. With the Hip Hop acts i wouldnt be suprised if something tragic happens.

Prime example: Rodney King Riots

This is a beautiful area of the city. Our annual fourth of July free concert and fireworks happens at the Art Museum and the Parkway. It does get very crowded but it goes for blocks and can fit maybe around 250,000 people. The city is planning a lot of festivities for the fourth and it is a lot of fun. This year our annual fourth of July concert has Elton John performing. It could be a fun weekend for people making it a long weekend.
This was postedon one of the Keith boards. What's your opinion of this area, McNabb?

The police did a great job during the Republican Convention- this will be pretty high profile. Times Square actually for the NFL thing had hip hop acts before Jovi and it worked out. Becky if you and Karen plan to come up let me know. I would love to go with you.

That is all true but I do share some concern with the hip hop acts being there as the event will draw from all sections. But I think the police will have it under control.

I will be downright brutal to sit through some of those people waiting for Bon Jovi to come on.
Good God! You are right about that. Who the heck are the Kaiser Chiefs anyway? That Il Divo is Simon Cowell's new creation. But having to sit through 50 and P. Diddy is a bit much to ask anyone. : P

50 Cent, P Diddy, Kaiser Chiefs , Il Divo, Jay-Z? I shudder just thinking about it. Not to mention the pot heads there to see Dave Matthews. It's quite an assortment of music. I wouldn't mind seeing Will Smith, though...I like him. He's friends with Jon, did you know that?
I live in Philly and I think anyone who goes is insane! I would think Jovi is going to play for what 15 to 30 mins. With acts like 50 cents and P Diddy, I wouldn't be caught dead at the Parkway. The area is fine but what those acts are going to attract , no thanks! I will stay home and watch from my TV!

The area that the show will perform is nice. Im looking at it as we speak. (im on the 31st floor in my office building).

here is a link. Top is the Art Museam where the stage will be. They'll close that long street down for the fans.

You should! its gonna be a great show even if Jovi only plays for 20-30 minutes. A day out in the sun! A day partying in the Birth Place of Ameica !
