I can't tell, probably not. But I remember the scene of Jon discussing with Alec was used in VH1 Behind The Music when Alec's departure was discussed (they used just footage without sound).

So they were all fed up with Jon after New Jersey and we all know the story behind the KTF album cover … and then we can see how big of a douche Jon was being here … Talk about brother$$hood to keep Dave and Tico hanging around after all this time.

I think people are talking Jon being a prick during a rehersal a touch out of context.

To be fair (and I'm not a fan of defending Jon), they had to halt quite a number of run throughs in that era because of Alec. And the latter could've been a bit of a pain in the ass. If you listen to the uncut rehearsals for the Evening With BJ shows, you get the same vibe.

If this was the only instance in which we see Jon being a prick to other band members, I’d agree. But considering how many times we’ve seen that happening, I don’t think this is out of context at all. However, Alec seemed to get on his nerves …

I never met the guy, but the "silently judging, head lowered and shades on, no eye contact" reminded me a LOT of that super duper asshole energy interview alongside Richie in the greatest hits era. Or is him being focused and him being an angry hungover guy the same thing?

Jon's attitude is not great, but we do not know the context either.

I remember watching the Crush and Bounce recordings online and Jon was always fine. We are seeing a small part of the process. I find the narrative that the rest of the band have worked under an oppressive authoritarian regime for 30-years to be laughable.

Even so, lead singer of rock band who is known for being mega-driven and more so than his bandmates can be a prick. Hardly revelatory. Also, barely a problem. Regarding Alec, Richie has not been shy about dissenting Jon's version of events recently, but never once has not refuted that Alec had become a pain in the ass.

I think that was the HAND era and someone found it for me recently when I asked here. That interview is great. I was told it was a hangover and it seems people are certain of this. I still see it like Jon would rather be anywhere else and was in a shit mood. It does not seem to be at Richie specifically but the vibe is so awkward.

I just think Jon was in a bad mood (mightve had argument with the missus before he left home!) - it happens. I mean at the end he says "lets play sleep and get the **** out of here" maybe he just werent in the mood that day plus the rehersals mightve been going on for hours.

I'm I the only one that thought it was funny that Richie wore his cowboy hat in rehearsals!?
