Default Bon Jovi kids

I was wondering why Jon, Richie, Tico and David chose such names for their kids. A friend of mine told me that Jon named his son Jesse after Jesse James and caused some heat in the family because he was supposed to be named Louis. Do you happen to know more stories behind their names? I guess Romeo got his name because it's so romantic and Jon had been singing about him for some time :P And why Stephanie and Ava? Those names aren't very common, especially Steph.

Jesse was the name picked out for Jesse. James is not after the outlaw it's after a family member or friend and Louis was Jon's grandfather's name.

Jon wanted to name Stephanie Rebecca, but Dorothea preferred Stephanie.

That info is all from televised interviews.

I don't know why David is obsessed with the moon, but Gabriel's middle name is Luna and Colton' is Moon.

Hector is Tico's real name and Alexander is after his mother's name.

Gotta side with JBJ on this one; Rebecca is a great name IMO.

Obviously, I agree that "Rebecca Bongiovi" would sound great too. LOL

Sorry, but I never heard any specific reasons for Ava's name. I just assumed they liked it. Ava was a fairly popular name in that time period.

I think if Jon and Dorothea had another daughter, she would have been named Rebecca.
