Bon Jovi Music Rights?

Publishing rights and publisher are two different things. A publisher can only publish music the owner of publishing rights approves. So Courtney Love isn't a publisher, she owns the publishing rights so she gets to say who gets to publish the music. Obviously companies will pay her in order to get the rights to publish music.

It's kinda the same as with TV shows. A channel buys the rights to show Friends-episodes through seasons 1-3. They can show them once, but they do not own the copyrights or publishing rights and they can't show seasons from 4 onwards because the network didn't pay for them.

Ok unless I missed it, who owns the publisher rights of Bon Jovi's music?

the band have the right to sell those rights on

which means the publisher who pays the band then has the right to licence these (supposedly along with the bands permission)

any recent tab book will let you know who the publisher is.

I don't know how you expect fans to know the answer to questions like this.

Clearly this is something that only the band and it's business associates would know the answer to!

Well why is that so clear. There are lots of artist where its known who is the publisher.
Not sure but if its got to do with copyrighted work then it is public also.
