I don't really understand peoples overwhelming need to clasify bands or artists into certain "types" of music. Bon Jovi are a rock band, plain and simple. Are they a rock band like Gun's and Roses? No. Are they a rock band like Matallica? No. They are a rock band and they have their own distinct sound.
And who in their right mind would want Bon Jovi or any band to stick to one style of music. Some Bon Jovi songs are hard rock (Hey God), some are pop-rock (It's My Life) and some are just straight up classic rock (I Believe). I think things would get pretty damn boring if they stuck rigidly to one style of music.
The great thing about this band is that they can do any style and pull it off and always, even at their hardest, are able to keep it open and accesible to a wide audience of music lovers, not just rock fans.

It seems these days theres so much negativity going on in the world.
