The people calling into the local radio stations are responding well to the Bon Jovi performance! Everyone who has commented on it has said that Jon sounded great. One person said Jennifer should always sing with them because she sounded terrible on her own song and great with Jon.

Nashville Kat, the syndicated reporter, was talking about fashion and said that Jon and Keith could make their looks really "pop" if they used some eyeliner. LOL

That's great! Hopefully the record company will get that song out to radio NOW and build off the momentum gained from the performance last night.

The show is on here on Saturday, and I'm wondering, did Keith Urban perform also or was he just collecting awards?

Yes, he also performed. And did a very good job I might add.

I'm not a fan of it either. To each his/her own, but had they been on any later last night, I would have skipped it.

In all fairness, I can't stand watching any Awards shows anymore.

Yes, he did Better Life and there was an orchestra backing him, which was pretty cool. But the performance along with the webcast performance the night before has me worried about his voice. He sounded hoarse and struggled with the higher parts. He needs to get off the road for a while.

i didnt think the Bon Jovi performance was that good. Bon Jovi did a good job, but jennifer sounded bad and so it made jon sound bad too, when in reality it wasnt his fault.
i didnt think that the CMAs or whomever was in charge did a good job of getting the message across of why bon jovi was there and that there is a new single coming to country radio with bon jovi and jennifer. it was like sugarland played (badly) and then they said 'oh, and from new jersey, here's bon jovi" and then jennifer walks out in the middle of the song and sings with them. people who dont know about the single are gonna be like 'why was bon jovi playing at the country awards and why did the sugarland chick come out and mess them up?'
as becky said, keith urban didnt sound good either. his voice cracked some and in other parts he simply couldnt hit the notes. maybe he's sick.
alison krauss and union station had sound difficulties, but they overcame it and sounded awesome as always. they were by far the most talented group there.
overall i thought the show was poorly done.

I have to agree. They all suck. But this one wasn't as painful, and I am not even a country music fan. The lack of untalented pop and rap artists was refreshing.

I was a bit confused by that too. I really didn't think she was even going to sing with BJ at first, because she came in late. Although in my opinion Jennifer's voice was stronger than Jon's.
