Brilliant! So I guess Richie wont be getting replaced now .

That was fantastic though. Jon's vocals brilliant as usual, although again he mangaed to screw up the lyrics ("I hung up this old photograph"?????????). Richie's backing vocals were perfect. The piano was nice and prevelant and you could relly hear a lot of electric guitar in the second half of it which was great. I wonder if that was simply the addition of Bobby? Definitely the best performance yet.

Eh, I still have yet to hear a good live performance of IML ... Jon sings it so weirdly, I've heard him sing better than that on recent recordings of other songs though, I don't know why he can't do IML properly

MAM was good though

I don't think IML has ever really worked live. Mind you, I think the song itself is overrated anyway!

I honestly think it's an excellent song, just pathetically overplayed. It's their second Livin on a Prayer, not just in structure similarity (and I do think IML is sufficiently different from Prayer), but in popularity. I wonder if, five years after Prayer came out, it was overplayed then too.

Jon has always come up short on it live though, particularly when he goes back to the normal notes on the final chorus. This version is pretty good though by virtue of Sambora.

Yeah IML there was pretty dire, vocals wise. Jon just never sounds great, and like someone said the fact that he doesnt go up the key at the end ala the record version it seems to drag on a bit too. Its Jon doing his nasal thing again, which is surprising seeing as hes been singing very good recently since HAND.

What a womenshow!!! But, ok...
MAM: Great, the songs keeps getting better and better. Keep the violin & the pedal steel
IML: Not their best performance. I've never understood why they never play a real guitarsolo in it. I'm no nig fan of Bad Name, but that song has a cool solo with cool guitartechnics and skils. IML should have a solo like that one!

It's just me or since Hand tour it seems that Richie doesn't care that much about the backing vocals....

Its just you.

He sings all the important ones, like Wanted, Blood on Blood, Born to be my baby etc and i guess now with Bobby aswell as Hugh and David there they have the vocals more than covered anyway.
