I agree that performance and singing was not good (thought Knockout sounded better) but I disagree that he's totally lost his voice. The karaoke undercover piece shows that, at least in my opinion. As someone, else has alluded to I think it's more about confidence at times vs ability.

It's pretty awful, isn't it? Not surprising though... He's overtoured for a long time. The thing that goes along with it is the total lack of movement.... Far from a showman he is now more like a wizard holding a cane.

The lead on 'House' was Phil. He was louder plus did the solo, Shanks played lead on Knockout which is weird since I was under the impression that in the studio it was the other way around.....

The choruses were piped in? The Bon Jovi I knew and loved wouldn't have been caught dead with taped background vocals.

Denmad is Right --Make Bon Jovi great again, re-elect Richie!

You're right --Make Bon Jovi great again, re-elect Richie!
I can't tell if you're being sarcastic, they've been using taped background vocals for decades so I don't know what era you're romanticising here. 1984?

FYI. There's a big VERY BIG difference between being able to hit a high note (ie 1/10th sec.) and singing for 2 hours.

They've been using tapes for a loooong time for some backing vocals...the chorus to Prayer for example...

Yeah...they've been using playback portions in 1987 and pre-taped backing vocals since the 90's.
