I don't know ..i don't like the AI idea anyway a real shame they have to go that low
I don't see it that way. I don't like AI myself, but like it or not, it is a part of American culture today. I almost see it as Job showing these kids what music really is.

Ryan Seacrest mentioned that Bono may be on the show in connection with the charity show that I think happens in April so......if it's good enough for Bono.

And this is from the press release:
"Bon Jovi is scheduled for live performances of “(You Want To) Make A Memory” on the upcoming 6th annual CMT Awards broadcast (April 16th live from Nashville); on Fox’s “American Idol” (May 2nd); and on NBC’s “Today Show” Outdoor Plaza (June 19th). "

maybe .. but I dont think this show does what it is claiming about doing (discovering talent and teach them how to do it ) all this is fake .. see how they manage to keep that terrible kid until now just because of his looks .. all this to attract teenyboppers (average is the key word in all sort of reality show ..not the best not the most talented - this is what makes ppl dream the illusion of the *this could happen to me too* concept )

I think it's just me but no way this is a class move for the band .. it's a $$ move yes

with that they can hope to market the first spot of the billboard the week the cd is out .. roll eyes smilie needed !!! do they NEED that spot or is it to show off in their cv to come for the R&R hall of fame )

ps I don't think kids need to be teached what music is and certainly not with the latest jovi in the coming
I have 4 kids I respect them they can think without me and they exactly know what they love and why they do and I am not old enough or desperate enough to think I know better than them .. culture is not mine but ours

if my kids love the same stuff as myself it's because we share the same taste not because I teach them anything .. but well maybe that's just me here ...

I don't think bon jovi cares about what kids think and at the end new comers will love jovi because of jon's look anyway

I DON'T CARE WHAT BONO DOES I have respect for U2 and for Bono (but won't embrace 100% of what they do and I don't use Bono as a tool to defend Jovi ) if Jon does something I don't agree with I'm not gonna change my mind because BONO *MAY* do it too

Just checking to see if you'd be consistent with your criticism if it was Bono rather than Bon Jovi or if suddenly your opinion would change.

I still fail to see why any artist appearing on a television show is a big deal. Why does everything have to have some big hidden agenda.

Well lucky Jon doesnt have to answer to you agreeing with what he is doing. He is going on AI. It's no big deal, theres no conspiracy theory. He is just going to sing their new song. Tell them what he knows about music and move on. Just take it at face value and stop trying to find the bad in it.

What the hell Bon Jovi song is going to fit LaKeisha's voice??

Think "Always" and Lakeisha.
Think "I'll Be There for You" and Melinda.

Those may be horrible fits...but I'm just saying if the girls who have those huge voices look to the ballads....

I hope it works out well

I'm nearly afraid to watch AI that night. Not like I really watch the show anyhow...

There has been no mention that when Bon Jovi are on there that it is going to be 'Bon Jovi Night.' Gwen Stephani is going to be on next week and its not 'Gwen/No Doubt Week.'

i think its kinda of funny. but jon did say he has never watched the show. and singing on stage is great but if they can't write music then whats the point. they all have to be able to sing and write there own songs. or they will not be around as long as bon jovi has.
