Bon Jovi on Japanese TV? (I Think?)

Now what is this? Actually listen to the first 2 minutes of the last link. All he says is that he is so great and David just "got" the concepts and got the credits for the sake of getting credits. What a crappy statement. Jon's a jerk. I wish Desmond Child popped up saying that Livin' On A Prayer and You Give Love a Bad name were actully his songs, he wrote them and Jon and Richie just "you know, they were there and wanted to have credit"

Jon's a moron! If I was Dave I would slap him for this.

And the "you know"'s are really annoying! He should learn to speak properly!

Whelp, I didn't watch the fourth part, but if that's what he said, then...he's quite full of himself, isn't he?
Mind you, maybe it's true.

I kind of wish I hadn't watched it. He's so quick to say "I WROTE IT"...blah.

Oh, I just watched it. Oh, I don't like how he said that at all. Oh, he started shaking his head *no* before the guy even finished the question. Oh.

I don't see the big deal about the comment about writing OLC. Plus, for me, since I don't speak Japanese, I it's hard to know the exact question he to which he was responding.

It's condescending as Hell. Especially with that "but it was good to let him work through it". He's basically saying that song was a "aww, it's okay little guy. Wanna put your name on my song? Would that make you feel better? You want a lollipop, little buddy?"

Just the way he ****ing says it. That little pause in "he...was there", and how hasty he was to say "I wrote it". You know, maybe he did. Maybe David just sat there reading a magazine or some shit while Jon wrote it all by himself. But he's so quick to deny David any credit for the song. "He got it?" I write fiction, when I bounce ideas off people and they "get it" I don't add their ****ing name as a co-author. And if I did, I'd stick by that and not discredit them if asked about it. Putting his name on the song as nothing more than a favor? Fine. But don't rush so much to make sure we know it was nothing more than a favor.

And I don't speak Japanese either, but it doesn't matter, because I can't think of a single question where that answer the way Jon said it wouldn't bother me.

Wrong day? No, not really. I'd be just as pissed about that any other day. It's just a mean, condescending thing to say.

And even if it is true, it's still not cool. Number one, it's not like David's incapable of writing, so if he wanted to write a song for the album and Jon wanted to let him, I don't see why he didn't. Unless they decided his writing sucked, or something.

And if he didn't help much, and Jon put his name on there as a favor, I don't see any reason to get so up-in-arms about clarifying that it was indeed just a favor. It kind of ruins the point of it.
