I actually think I saw it on German television a year ago or so. Maybe 2010. It was a documentary on Bon Jovi. The other thing they said and that stuck with me was how Jon wrote Bed of Roses on a napkin after drinking with them at the whiskey bar of a hotel. It's funny cause Jon was always saying he wrote it after a drinking night with a couple of friends from a different band. Somehow I had always imagined it was Skid Row for whatever reason. Turns out it was the Scorps Mystery solved.

It was the only really successful single they'd had up to that point.

Not wanting to get in the way of one of the many good arguments on the site, but is the answer to the lack of Prayer just a very boring one, in that at the time it was an unreleased album track (albeit one JBJ didnt rate that highly) and so there would be no reason to play it, until it got released and the whole Jovi world changed.

I think there are 3 people here that could actually understand that.

It was meant for schlochty, you knob. He is German, or do you think Stuttgart, Germany is some imaginary land that only exists in books about WWII? Plus, you don't even speak English you cretin, so why even bother commenting. You knew before opening the link that there was little chance you'd ever understand what they speak, regardless of the language.

First of all, we called it a day ages ago, Rdkopper. Then you had to start posting again. I mean puking again. Whatever it was, spraying non-sense around here.

Second of all, see the setlist below:

Does the bold mean anything to you, cretin? Or were those some MAJOR singles from Slippery When Wet. Some major releases that everyone was familiar with? No, just album tracks, yet they played them because they considered them more appropriate.

And just for the record - yes, I am embarrassed about participating in a pseudo-discussion with Rdkopper. It's like going really low, but what can I do. I feel I have to point out to the moron that he is a moron. Maybe one day he'll get it. Apologies to everyone else.

Just to translate this in case someone is interested:

Klaus Meine: "We were looking for an opening act for the US tour and we listened to tapes from a bunch of bands that had just released new records. One song that stood out was Runaway from a band called Bon Jovi. We thought 'Yes, they are cool, we want those guys! Then they came on tour. First gig was in Sacramento, California and that's where we met them"

Matthias Jabs: "How should I put it, to be honest, other than Runaway, there was not much about them. They tried hard, but in the beginning, they hardly moved on stage and...you could just notice they were new. And because they had this manager, Doc McGhee who we also had later on, he also noticed this straight away, so he made sure that after their concert, they weren't allowed to leave to their bus, but had to come to the mixer or the side of the stage, watch our gig and learn how to do it right"

Voice: "Bon Jovi learn quickly. Soon, the newcomers from New Jersey have the masses [at their feet]"

Maybe someone who doesn't speak any German finds this interesting.
