I don't understand why anyone is insulted by this. It's just another ****ing gig.

Thank you - as if they don't get paid for playing Madison Square Garden - or anywhere else except certain charity gigs.

Aloha !

I don't understand it either. It's not like Bon Jovi write deep emotional stuff that's not supposed to be played for a random audience. They're a party band and just like every band they can be hired for a gig. Whenever they play MSG they offer promoters their services, now they offered their services for a single customer. What's the difference really?

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

"Work for the Working Man"......

Like I say, not that I'm offended, but it's basically class/wealth issues.

If a rich company owner hires a band and lets his employees hear that band for free doesn't that mean that they're actually playing for the working man and therefore giving the working man a good time?

Hmmmm.. If this is your definition of "the working man", you may have a point...

C. Taylor Campbell is an associate with The Lanier Law Firm. A native of Kilgore, Texas, Mr. Campbell attended Kilgore College and earned his undergraduate degree in chemistry from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas, in 1995. He then earned his law degree from the South Texas College of Law in Houston.

After law school Mr. Campbell spent one year working for Baron & Budd in Dallas, Texas. He joined The Lanier Law Firm in 2000. During his tenure with the firm Mr. Campbell has helped to gain his clients over $600 million in settlements.

Mr. Campbell is licensed to practice law in Texas and Michigan. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, State Bar of Michigan, American Association for Justice, Texas Trial Lawyers Association, American Bar Association and Houston Young Lawyers Association.

Mr. Campbell concentrates his litigation practice on representing plaintiffs in the areas of personal injury, products liability, toxic torts, premises liability, wrongful death and asbestos litigation.

He and his wife, Mari, have three children, Alex, Avery and Taylor. Mr. Campbell is an active participant in local charity golf tournaments and supports numerous cultural organizations in the Houston area.

the black crowes play corporate gigs -

the jovis also have a massive touring and management company and all the people it takes to put on stuff like this - they have their own "working men and women" - they are done retired and rich forever if they want - they are out there working and paying people to help them put these shows on...

its not like they are ONLY playing corporate gigs and only the rich can see them - outside of BSWJBJ

but please - mike rew aint rich and hes at the top....think of everybody else in the organization that gets to have a steady job now that a tour is coming and gets to make interim money like this before it starts....

people please - let me hear HAPPY NOW - that is awesome they played that -

they prob use these as practice gigs anyway

Its not like they are getting warn down for a gig the night after, or getting tired from this. If anything, they can use this to get back in shape.
If I was in a band that just made hundreds of millions from the last tour I'd say "You know what, **** em. We're only gonna play for people who really want to see us, not some drunk workers"

They do not need to do this kind of thing. That's what gets me, how greedy have they got?

If they wanna tighten up as a band they should play in private.
