I don't agree that they did the law firm XMAS party "for the money'. How much could this firm pay them to fly out to Houston for one show after doing SNL the night before?

So many of you are complaining that the band is money driven. At their age, why would they knock themselves out running all over the country and world if they didn't truly love what they were doing and had a burning need to keep doing it as long as they physically could? Don't forget that there is the ambitious, workaholic Jon pushing them to get more recognition for their accomplishments- whether from critics or fans, and to keep going and going...

They would only turn down the private party if they had a better gig. Jon is going to keep pushing them as long as he can. It gets to a point where money is just not enough to make you keep doing something over and over- unless you love it or have a need to do it. After last night, more people got to see them and hear them. That is what they care about now.
