Default Bon Jovi re-release I Wish Everyday Could Be Like Crimbo...but they get it wrong.
Just noticed this on Facebook:

Most recent news thread says that the 1987 Single I Wish Everyday Could Be Like Christmas to be released on iTunes and Amazon. Great.

But wasn't this released in 1992 and sung live in 1992 at the same concert as An Evening With Bon Jovi? Either I have my facts totally wrong or someone has cocked up royally here.

It was available on later pressings of the album "A Very Special Christmas", released in 1987.

looks like it took the place of Backdoor Santa on the re-release. it was however recorded in 1992.

I have NEVER seen IWEDCBLC on the A Very Special Christmas album; only Back Door Santa. I know they have supposedly rereleased it with the song swap, but I guess the stores that I frequent only have the older versions? I remember being quite confused while searching for this song and only finding Back Door Santa.

We all know the BJ camp isn't the brightest when it comes to dates or facts of any kind. I'm happy for the re-release though as i don't have it and i've been wanting to acquire it so i'll go make iTunes & Jon's wallet happy...

I have 204 individual Bon Jovi/JBJ songs on my iplayer and this is not one of those, so I am happy to make it 205 no matter what year it was released/re-released or recorded. Thanks BJ. Nice addition to my collection.

It was also released on one of the KTF singles... so this is definitely from 1992

Oh there's no question. Technically it was on the re-release of "A Very Special Christmas" that originally came out in '87 the first time. Their phrasing of the matter is just mind blowingly bad.

It wasn't performed on "An Evening With..." though Nickolai. The video for it was filmed on the set of it during sound checks for the performance.

As I've said on Twitter, this is one of my favorite Jovi songs period, Christmas or otherwise. I really wish they'd write and record another original Christmas song.
