well richie sure talks a lot of bollocks. like when he says he's been to 50 different countries on the last tour (not true). I sometimes feel like he's pre-programmed before every interview. seriously, I'm pretty sure his contract with the band does not allow him to say a lot of stuff (?). anyways, a tour/album next year is rather unlikely. I'd put my bets on 2013, since it's the 30th anniversary. We'll have to wait.

It's especially funny given that they have only played to 70,000+ people four times since 2003.

Yea I agree. And 2013 is probably the safest bet indeed.

I doubt anyone is telling Richie what to say (or what not to say). I think it's just a matter of getting asked similar questions over and over again and giving the same answers. I think any of us would be guilty of the same thing if we were in the same business. It doesn't bother me that Richie likes to brag and spout numbers because sometimes you find out interesting stuff that way.

I just saw Jon on Extra saying that there are no plans to tour in 2012. I imagine the album will come out in the last quarter next year (in time for Christmas sales) and the tour will follow in 2013.

Richie looks really happy when he's busy....
