Bon Jovi’s New Jersey mansion is on the market

MIDDLETOWN - Is Jon Bon Jovi the latest New Jersey millionaire to flee to Florida? Media reported the rocker bought a five-bedroom oceanfront villa in Palm Beach for $10 million last March. And now his 18,000-square-foot Middletown mansion is up for sale. The price is only available "by request," and you can bet the realtor won't consider us a serious buyer for the 15-acre estate gloriously perched on the Navesink River. You can't blame Bon Jovi for heading south; it was reported the Middletown estate carried $281,477 in property taxes last year. And the property taxes on the 6,000-square-foot home in Florida? Just $46,466 last year, plus no state income tax for full-fledged residents. Any shrewd kid from Sayreville can do the math on this one.

That's not shrewdness -- that's a public relations suicide mission which tops Cardi B lying her way through her pregnancy. If Jon couldn't wait to sell until after the THINFS tour (which would have made him look foolish enough), he's either hurting for money (that he didn't earn enough of from the tour), getting terrible advice, or getting good advice that he isn't taking.

His kids don't want to live there, they all live in New York, which is understandable. Jesse said in an interview that his father's house looks like a museum, which is accurate. That property must cost them a real fortune to maintain+taxes and they don't live there anymore. Rich people don't like to own properties that just drain them financially. It became a liability for them instead of an asset. This doesn't necessarily mean he hurts for money. It may be that he manages money and property in a business mind frame.

It seems good to me to sell that mansion. I never liked it, Jon had too much conford recording all those albums for a whole decade. This will make record in different studios, that's something. Now we just need J. Shanks to walk away.

Your time lines are off, since Shanks starting getting involved the recorded in NJ less and less. A lot of recording in various studios, mostly Henson Studios in LA.
