His kids don't want to live there, they all live in New York, which is understandable. Jesse said in an interview that his father's house looks like a museum, which is accurate. That property must cost them a real fortune to maintain+taxes and they don't live there anymore. Rich people don't like to own properties that just drain them financially. It became a liability for them instead of an asset. This doesn't necessarily mean he hurts for money. It may be that he manages money and property in a business mind frame.
