the dashboard jesus line i have heard Jon say on more than one occasion on either video or dvd

can't remember when exactly, think once was on the outakes of a tour video which they released with loadsa backstage footage in the early nineties

sorry for being vague maybe somebody else can help me out here

and while i'm at it those "hey heys" in LH are grinding on me as well, as if they ran outta words

personally i'd rather wait five years listenning to the odd soundtrack song until BJ have ONE album worthy of putting out, rather than skipping over the songs in the last three albums until i can find a good one, which these days(no pun intended) seems to be getting harder and harder, Bounce and Crush aren't exactly growers in my opinion, i think HAND was halfway there but still not good enuff and if you can't release an album up to par of your back catalogue then don't bother because once its out there, then new fans will think thats all your worth and the critics will just have more bait

that said i am excited to hear the album as a whole and haven't judged yet , just speculating

I don't think they've lost inspiration, I just think what they're doing Post-Days hasn't gone over well with some of you guys (sometimes with good reason, sometimes not. I happen to think Crush is a great album. I think the songs range from good to tremendous, with only two real clunkers (I Got The Girl, and She's a Mystery) I think Bounce was alright. I think it has three or four very good songs, two or three mediocre ones, and a few clunkers. I think TFLR was a very inspired move. Misguided a bit, yes, but still a ballsy move. I think had they tracked that album with ballad-style songs, as opposed to reworking the rockers, I'd probably enjoy it alot more. The Box Set was IMO, an intresting move, because they probably could've released a GH Box Set, and sold more copies, yet they released the rarities instead. I think HAND is a great album. And from what I've heard, I like the sound off of Lost Highway so far. These are just my opinions, but whatever.

I don't care at all if the songs together don't sound as u unity. It's way much more important that I just like the songs, and I do like the two songs I've heard, (you want to) Make a Memory and We got it going on, a lot.

That´s why the band put a lot of kind of music to involved everyone.

We where blame the band for the country concept album, and now that they givin´us amazing song, you guys didn´t so, just wait for the entire album.

The album Lost Highway will ROCK.

[QUOTE=midnite ridah;732628]lost highway is weak for me and thats the title track, too many cliches that BJ have done beforeQUOTE]

I've only heard Make A Memory and Lost Highway, but I tend to like Lost Highway more than Make A Memory.... And I'm not a country fan at all....

I agree with your point about We've Got It Goin' On, but other than that I'd say the new material I've heard is original and fits together well for a new record.

I am so dissapointed... What's with all this country crap they're getting into?? It seems they'll go any way they can just to get audience and sell records. Besides maybe two or three songs on each album, I think they haven't done anything creative since These Days.

Even Destination Anywhere was better than most of the stuff on or since Crush.

I was really pleased with the box set. They should've called it quits right then and there.

and whats worse is these rumours about a greatest hits release later in the year

ignoring left feels right

after crossroads, we've had TD, Crush, Bounce and HAND, so they mightas well re-release TD in a limited box or something

i know i would still buy it though just to get the two new songs that they would put on it

be good if the did a greatest hits tour just playing these days but now i am dreaming

Last time I checked, there's no law that says you have to buy everything they put out.

Well, figure after being a fan since 86 and growing up with the band, I thought it’s a nice throwback to have their stuff. I still buy their merchandise, like the new XX line of SWW stuff… Nice!!

But you wouldn’t catch me dead listening to anything that has Bon Jovi and Big & Rich together on it. What a SHAME!!! Who’s next, the Dixie Chicks? Shania Twain? Here’s a news flash: today’s Bon Jovi is rock n’ roll about as much as Nickelback or The Fray - it’s POP!

I have a giant BJ collection but most of the stuff comes from the 80’s and 90’s, when BJ we’re still an excellent rock band. That’s when Jovi seemed to love the music they created and when they weren’t overly concerned about These Days selling “only” one million copies. Right now, they’d do anything to remain in the spotlight and have a hit, hence going into the untapped redneck market. I don’t own much of their boy band / country star repertoire from 2000 and on. I own nothing since Bounce other than the box set. I did buy both TLFR and HAND but I don’t know what happened to them. Maybe all my good CD’s got together and threw them out the window. I betcha you couldn’t trade those two records for one Milli Vanilli album at the local CD shop.

But it’s not just them. Aerosmith seemed to be doing it too for a while but then they did Honking on Bobo, which kind of saved their reputation.

But hey, it’s their band, they can do whatever they want to.
