Nothing didn't make the cut as far as Jovi goes. Hell, even 7800* is on there, and you all know how I feel about that album...LOL.
As far as These Days... I love the album but I do think it gets a little too much love on these boards.

The These Days hype is totally understandable, it's a masterpiece.

All of Bon Jovi is on there even TLFR. When I'm having trouble sleeping, I put on TLFR and it puts me right to sleep (probably cause I don't wanna hear it).

Great idea! I never thought of using it that way. LOL

Oh, and my entire BJ collection (including all solo work) is on my iPod. I don't have a space issue at this point, so I didn't even worry about duplicates when I ripped multiple copies of CDs. Blast all those bonus tracks that I just HAVE to have! I think I'm up to 4 copies of These Days . . . or is it 5? (Don't tell me it isn't a masterpiece.) I even have 2 copies of Crush, Bounce and TLFR, and they certainly aren't my favorites. The singles are really getting out of control. So why did I buy more on eBay today? Oh yeah, the extra tracks! If I ever get brave and try to explore bootlegs, I'll be in serious trouble!

I have to agree to a certain extent though. The These Days album is great, but overrated on this board.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan
Word.

Anyway, I actually consider the title track one of their best (#5 in my top BJ songs) and I love This Ain't A Love Song (which is MUCH better than Always) as well as Something For The Pain (Ironically, a song that many people consider the worst in this album because JBJ hates it, whatever ). If That's What It Takes and Heart Breaking Even are pretty good songs. I can tolerate Hey God and Lie To Me, they're ok. The rest, to me, I classify as ****ing horrible.

I don't think as an album it's as strong as the holy trinity of SWW/NJ/KTF. Not even close. The reaction I got from not liking this album is the same reaction that I got from not liking Slang in Def Leppard boards or not liking AMOLAD in Iron Maiden boards. People think I hate change/experiments. I am not against experimenting but experiments can go wrong. Similarly, I am not against change as KTF is a change from NJ/SWW but it's still a great album.

Ever since this album, I accepted the fact that they'll never create a solid album front to back like SWW/NJ/KTF but there is always a few songs in each album that are keepers, so that's why I keep buying their albums (except OWN which is a sorry excuse of a live album - and it has that dumb Something To Believe In! and TLFR, which is the 3rd worst album from a major rock band after St Anger and AMOLAD).

Typically fanbois/girls show mad love in their favorite bands' message boards for those albums that are different and don't sell as much as the most popular albums of <insert band name here>. It's always "oh people don't appreciate the art of this <insert poor selling album here>", "people don't understand the band's need to change", "this is the band's best effort" , "We don't want a rewrite of <insert an awesome album here>", or my favorite "Give it a few more spins, it's a grower" (which really means the songs are lacking hooks and aren't memorable at all) yada yada yada yada.

I beg to differ. I like what I like, and I hate what I hate. If I spend my hard earned cash on buying an album (which directly means I'm supporting the band), I deserve to praise or shit on it as much as I can after listening to it.

If I were to rank their albums (excluding Crossroad, OWN, TLFR and the box set) it will be like this:
1. NJ
2. KTF
3. SWW
4. Crush
5. HAND
6. S/T
7. TD
8. LH
9. Bounce
10. 7800

And if I were to rank their songs (including B-sides):

1. Livin On A Prayer
2. In These Arms
3. Blood On Blood
4. I'll Be There For You
5. These Days
6. Someday I'll Be Saturday Night
7. Have A Nice Day
8. Keep The Faith
9. Bed Of Roses
10. Just Older
11. Runaway
12. Born To Be My Baby
13. I'd Die For You
14. Starting All Over Again
15. Radio Saved My Life Tonight
16. It's My Life
17. Never Say Goodbye
18. Wild In The Streets
19. This Ain't A Love Song
20. I Love This Town

My opinion on These Days is basically this:
Hey God is an incredible track, and one of the band's best ROCK songs.
I happen to love Something For The Pain. I think it's awesomely catchy, and just fun without being stupid.
This Ain't A Love Song is just as good as Always, and only slightly under BoR in my opinion.
These Days is one of Bon Jovi's best songs period. Simply amazing.

Here's where things slip, but not much yet:
Lie To Me- is an alright track. Not great, but I like it lyrically. But it's an album track at best IMO. No clue why it was a single.
Damned on the other hand is a great fun rock song, but with a very serious overtone. One of the band's biggest missed singles.
My Guitar Lies Bleeding In My Arms- is a good track. A bit melodramatic at times, but all in all a very good track.
Something To Believe In- is a BRILLIANT track lyrically, but the album version bores the hell out of me. I adore it live though.
Diamond Ring- I know a lot of people don't like this song, but I think it's beautiful.
Now, notice the three tracks I didn't list? In my opinion (and this is just me) (It's Hard) Letting You Go, If That's What It Takes, and Hearts Breaking Even are three of the worst Jovi songs (Post 7800*), and they really hurt the album for me. That's not to say I don't think it's a tremendous effort (missteps aside) I don't think it stands up to New Jersey, Keep The Faith, or Slippery When Wet. And while it probably is a stronger album than Crush, I just prefer Crush a little bit. That being said I think those five (In the order of NJ, KTF, SWW, Crush, TD) are all great.
