Unless you asked Jon no one knows what kind of mood he was in. It's all perception, just because he's not joking around and is serious doesn't mean he was in a crap mood. He wanted to get the songs right so not talking back to the audience and laughing and smiling doesn't mean he was in a crap mood, he was in "work" mode. I've been around and watched Jon do videos, TV tapings, etc since the mid 80's and Jon is always very serious. I've NEVER seen him interacting with the audience while doing these things.

Well I must have watched a whole different "duet", because he, in my eyes, had a great time. In fact I've never seen him so "light", smiling and enjoying himself.

I watch this DVD daily to get my mood "up"!! I'm sure Jennifer had a major effect on him, as those were not "phony" smiles coming from Jon. He was loving it. As a senior psychologist, I can smell truth vs lies, and this was one happy guy.

Go Jon & give us another "duet" with Jennifer!!:

That's exactly the thing. It's the Jon who's smiling for the camera every single time. The Jon Bon Jovi that does the smile in the end of all video's, and smiles whenever the camera is on him. It's exactly the same smile, the same stage antics. It's all acting, and it's so obvious that it's embarassing.

It's the Jon Bon Jovi who smiles when he knows the camera is on him. And no, Jon wasn't loving it, there were more reports from people who were there and said Jon was acting like a prick, And yes, there's a difference between acting like a prick and being serious with work.

The very fact that Jon is smiling during performances of Bad Name and It's My Life so much when he knows the camera is on him and people on TV are watching him, but never does so during actual live shows should ring a bell, but obviously it doesn't and a lot of people fall for it. Sad, really.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

I was there in the second row but somehow missed all the Jon being a prick instances. Can all those that were also there, please inform me exactly what he was doing because I never saw anything other than him talking to the band and Jennifer, Kristen and Kirsten (Sugarland) and none of that was "prick" behavior to me. And for being such a jerk, he did stay out and shake hands and sign autographs.

It was obvious Jon Bon Jovi did not enjoy the Sugarland Crossroads. He said all the right things and smiled at the right times, but he acted arrogant and like he didn't want to be there. I don't see how someone could watch that show and say "Hey, that Jon Bon Jovi is loving singing with Sugarland!" and not bust out laughing. Seb is spot on for this one

Hmmm, I liked the show. I liked the fact that Bon Jovi seemed to be on their toes, really concentrating to give the best show they could. And I actually like the Sugarland songs as well. Don't care about Jon's mood, it doesn't affect me in the slightest.
