You do know that the Superbowl is what it is thanks to Jackson, right?

But that's just the point. Doing a gig to such a varied and essentially non fan based audience, would mean they would and should play the "same old" known songs. Who outside of serious Jovi fans would be arsed if they played Wild Is The Wind or Never Say Goodbye? ( songs I would kill to hear live! )

If they played some rarities it would certainly appease the hardcore fan base but totally alienate the average person who wouldn't know or care for the songs and probably turn over/go get a beer. Surely a kick ass version of Wanted, Prayer and a NEW song would be a healthy mix?

On a general note ( not aimed at anyone in particular ), i wish people would give it a rest moaning over set lists becoming repetitive.........if it's sooooo repetitive don't go, or use some common sense and go to ONE show, therefore when you hear It's My Life or whatever song has become fashionale to criticise, it won't bother you so much. Honestly the whinging some people do on here is a joke. Bon Jovi should be a part of your life, NOT YOUR LIFE. Get over it!

I'd just like to add, it's songs like It's My Life or HAND which have opened the door to people buying a Jovi album, liking it, and subsequently buying their back catalogue and finding jems like SWW, NJ, KTF and TD, which to me is a good thing.

There's just so much wrong with this I can't even be bothered to explain it to you. There's much more behind not changing the set than just hearing It's My Life for the fiftieth time that obviously goes beyond what you're capable of understanding that there's simply no use for me to go into it a bit deeper.

And going to one show isn't common sense. It's the difference between being an average fan or a die hard, with you obviously being the average fan. So don't tell me what I should or shouldn't do because you haven't got any idea of what you're talking about.

Please don't bother yourself as i've read enough of your holier-than-thou babble on these boards. Who are you anyway?? Actually i don't care.

And it is common sense. Why go and do something only to moan and bitch about it? Because that makes you a fan? " Oh look at me, i go to ALL the gigs, sure i whinge like f*ck about most of them, but i still go". That is the stupidest analogy i've heard from you, which is saying something.

I'm an average fan? Oh dear you really are an idiot. So the band should only cater for the already converted or die hards? What about people who go to the show for the first time? Should they not hear the songs that you deem overplayed or boring???

I wasn't AT ALL suggesting that each gig have the EXACT same set, just that the staple songs that are the bands trademarks, Prayer, Bad Name, Wanted, It's My Life etc, should have a place at every show. The filler songs, for want of a better description, i agree should be freshened up.

And just to clarify your own point, i assume you class all the backstagers as die hard fans then???

Someone with a lot more knowledge about the band than your average jibba jabba you've posted so far.

No you cunt. It's the die hards that go every single tour, to many, many shows, that have made the band where they are nowadays. And this band should be thankful in response and bring us some rarities. And please, show me any of the other stupid analogies you've heard from me. Show me examples, instead of vague assumptions.

I fail to understand why I am the idiot while you're incapable of understanding this all. Yes you are an average fan if you only go to 1 show per tour. I could understand it if you were coming from America, but you're from the UK so it should be pretty easy to do more shows. You apparantly chose not to do so, hence you being an average fan who just enjoys the occasional Bon Jovi show, but nothing more.

That's not the point at all, and if you really would've read all my holier-than-thou babble on this board you would've understand it by now. Yet you don't, which really shows how much you really understood from all that holier-than-thou babble on this board.

I thought we shouldn't bitch about it? You're contradicting yourself already. Well done.

No. Not all of them. Some of them are blindly obsessed idiots who'll appreciate anything the band does, and those are the fools who've given Backstage such a bad name. The others are die hards, yeah. Obviously, because who else would pay 40 dollars just to be able to stand front row?

It's so ****ing easy to understand. You can downtalk me all you want yet those 2 last posts from you show that you don't have a single clue of what you're talking about. Instead, however, you start bashing the people who do, which clearly shows your lack of intelligence towards this subject.

Salaam Aleikum,

As for the rest of your sermon, you know nothing of how many gigs i go to or how much "knowledge" i have. These are all assumptions on your part. But if you honestly think that the number of ticket stubbs you have reflect what sort of fan you are, then you are a bigger idiot than you appear.

I've been to numerous gigs on every tour since KTF ( including Richie ), i've learned guitar, been in bands, recorded demo's, gigged, all because of the influence the bands music has on me. They are a part of my life. Yet i don't judge myself to be a bigger or better fan than someone who has only seen them once, for example.

You may well have more rarities, or know more stories, i don't really care. I'd rather enjoy the band than write over 10,000 posts moaning about them lol. And don't call me an average fan because i dare disagree with you, or because i haven't seen them live quite as much as you. There are plenty of other people who you can go and pontificate to. Off you go.........

Great, another person on the list who seriously thinks that I don't have the balls to say something like that to you while standing in front of you. First richshaw in the Nickelback topic, and now you. It's ****ing funny, there's one like you for every year I post on Jovitalk. Seriously, you try to come across as someone who knows who sort of person I am because you've read enough of my my holier-than-thou babble on this board yet you haven't got a ****ing idea of who you're talking to. I'm pretty sure me and Thierry would laugh our ass off if I'd keep calling you cunt.

PM has been sent, by the way.

Subject: Cunt
Recipient: Jeeper

Since you really want me to call you a cunt, because you apparantly like the dirty talk, I hereby tell you that I live near Rotterdam. Name the time and I'll be there just to satisfy you and call you a cunt in your face.

Sincerely,
Seb

Again, why do I appear to be an idiot to you? Show some proof of topics, replies in which I do not make sense. You're the one who's saying it's common sense not to go to multiple shows. And now you're implying that you actually did go and see multiple shows on one tour. Again, you're contradicting yourself.

And I'm not talking about better either. Just because I might've seen this band more than you doesn't make me better. It might make me a bigger fan, but nothing of this makes me better than you. You're the one who's putting the words in my mouth I didn't say. And again, it shows that you're incapable of understanding my holier-than-thou babble on this board.

It is a well known fact that I am better and bigger than anyone else though. However, it has nothing to do with this subject though.

Where did I say that? Again, this shows that you're incapable of understanding my holier-than-thou babble on this board.

Off you go.

Get your facts right dickhead. I said it's common sense to go to ONE show if you're bored of repetitive set lists. I also said i have been to numerous gigs on every tour since and including KTF. Thick bastard.

As for you having the balls to stand in front of me. Yawn. You're a loud mouth hiding behind a pc. Nothing more. Big talk is easy. You may impress people with the shite you spout, i don't really know or care. To me you come across as an attention seeking whinging prick with f*ck all better to do than hang around a forum moaning about the band you claim to be a fan of. Be a good little cry baby and f*ck off.

Someone just had a temper tantrum.. I think my mother has a few lollipops for you.... I believe your the one that should calm down, and maybe lay off the unnecessary swearing....

... I also love the fact that when someone loses an argument on the internet, they always resort to the "your a coward behind a desk" excuse.
