BON JOVI the bands name .....

Best name there is? uh oh.
Like said several times, using name of a vocalist sure makes people to think the band actually is just him. Name Bon Jovi.......it sounds just cheesy. Funny enough, after 2 albums they got more and more into cheesy side, so after all these years cheesy-sounding name fits them quite well. Noone can tell how their creer would have been under another name, but for sure they'd be known as a band more than as individual.

What is good about the name is that it doesn't mean a thing. U can't just put them into any category based on their name. U cant' go around saying "Bon Jovi? Name sounds like a boy band....metal band....punk band....whatever"...U get the point don't ya. Also, they can change styles and whatever without having a burden of a meaningful name. For example, at least I would have hard time imagining band named Anthrax being a pop-act.......

good point and your right the name doesnt mean anything so its not associated with anything. I just think it doesnt sound very american or like a rock band. More like an Italian pasta sauce.mmm thats what they should do launch a sauce
