The majority of the first two albums are awful, and slippery has a couple of stinkers too.
Two different Bon Jovis. Pre-2000 and after that. I think anything written before 1995 beats anything after that with a fex exceptions on These Days.

I'd rather listen to 7800 on infinite repeat than The Circle. Or Crush, or HAND or...

What!? Tico has a great voice and it's a nice alternative to the usual Bon Jovi work. Expect a letter from the Tico fanclub

I expect a letter I find his voice incredibly boring, obviously its personal opinion but he sounds way too much like a dodgy Louis Armstong for my liking.

One of the best songs off Crush

Are we listening to the same song?! The entire thing drags awfully, just the first verse is bad enough droning on about not having a degree. It begs the question who cares whether he has a PhD or not.

I think it was one of the better songs on TLFR. This version puts the songs message across better and sounds rich and textured.

Theres hardly much of a message, its an IML clone thats been slowed down. They did it with WWBTF too simply because IML worked well acoustically they think that slowing it down gives a whole new meaning. Thank god it never happened to HAND.

You need to go to the Doctor, this is a brilliant track from a flawless album

A would be flawless album. It's not the worst track, but the song was written for NJ and got rejected and then KTF and rejected again. It sounds like a B-side to me and it was lucky to make TD.

[QUOTE=JerseyboyUK;958227]I am utterly shocked on the lack of 80's songs appearing on these lists.

My reason is I grew up with BJ from 1983 and so the first album IMO blew everything else away at the time. (I was still at school so didnt have access to a great deal of music). My older brother listened to way too much Rush and my older sister was into the futurist scene. I saw BJ support KISS on their 1984 uk tour and got to thinking then that this was a group I was going to follow as much as possible.
I have to admit the second album had a couple of fillers IMO and the production was quite weak but the 7800 went down a lot better live than on record.
As for SWW and NJ I dont see any bad tracks on either of them. Not all great but nothing as bad as Who Says or Love this Town.

1. It's My Life
2. Have A Nice Day
3. Any Other Day
4. Who Says You Can't Go Home
5. We Weren't Born To Follow
6. Sleep When I'm Dead
7. Welcome To Wherever You Are
8. We Got It Going On
9. Love's The Only Rule
10. Woman In Love
11. Something For The Pain(not actually that bad to be fair.)
12. Without Love

Yeah, I would say that's fairly accurate.

*For the record, 7800 is a brilliant album. Bon Jovi is very good, too.

Ugh - No way.

First album was good, but 7800 with the exception of maybe 3 or 4 songs, is wretched.

Yeah i suppose that makes sense. If you were actually around at the the time then i guess you get attached to them in a stronger way than those that weren't there (ie. me) and see them in a different perspective.
