Not now. I mean when the original argument was raised. Wherever Deb heard about the band joining the hall of fame, whether it be from Jon or not, she probably assumed it was the American one probably.

Until this thread I wasn't even aware there was a UK version, but it says so in the title and main thread content, it isn't hard to notice UK written there.

Hahaha I know what you're saying but I'm not talking about this thread. I mean the original thread, where people were bickering back and forth about the band not being eligible and Deb arguing that they WILL be inducted, earlier in the year. We were talking about the American one and she was talking about the UK one, not knowing there is a difference. I had no idea this one existed either.

You think she meant the UK one? Why did she mention Oprah and other USA shows that Jon appeared on as if to say that had helped them get into the UK one. Only Deb can clear this up obviously, but I think she probably was talking about the USA one, not this one.

Haha no. I wish I worded this better. I mean she probably honestly thought he was talking about the American one, not knowing it was the UK one. Sorry I wasn't clear.

Agreed. Only she can fully clear this up. I'm sure her intentions were good though.

I believe she also mentioned a specific venue in New York City though, so she wasn't talking about the UK HOF.

My theory has just flown out the window.

You are correct. I wish I just re-read the last post instead of blathering on and on defending. heh.

Don't gloat. You were spewing BS about the Waldorf Astoria which is a luxury hotel in New York City and the US Hall of Fame.

"In 1980 Jon sang on "R2-D2 We Wish You a Merry Christmas" from Christmas in the Stars: Star Wars Christmas Album. At the studio, Bongiovi convinced Billy Squier to produce his demo tape. One song, "Runaway," received airplay on local radio stations om 1982. He formed a band to support the song with keyboardist David Bryan, guitarist Dave Sabo, bassist Alec John Such and drummer Tico Torres. The success of the "Runaway" led to a label bidding war, and the group signed to Polygram/Mercury in 1983."
So you're still wrong.

Good news it is. Tickets on ticketmaster are only 40 quid but there bog standard. I cant go anyway cant get off work. Whoever is going enjoy.

I believe the inductees are picked by a panel of "experts" music execs, producers and such so it is surprising they got nominated even.
