There are so many worthy causes to which the famous can lend their celebrity. I think it makes perfect sense that they'd pick something that has touched close to home. I don't know if Bon Jovi worked on lung cancer fundraisers before Richie's father got sick, but why not do what they can now?

Enjoy that acoustic set from Richie, guys. What an incredibly special treat. I am insanely jealous.

Erm, why's that selfish exactly? There's a million and one different charities to support, and no one can support them all ... why should someone not decide to give to a charity because they've seen firsthand what their money will be helping fight against?

Aloha !

So now we've got a support act that's more exciting than the headliner, right?

Salaam Aleikum,

Plus you have a greater understanding of where the money is needed, which is why Ithin kthe idea of mobile hospices is wonderful and something I hadn't personally heard of before...I'd heard of mobile testing units but the idea of a mobile team of people being able to provide respite care for those affected and for their families sounds wonderful to me

Firstly, celebrities wield a lot of power, especially in terms of raising awareness and attracting $$ so I think it's great that the guys are taking part. Secondly, it's obviously a cause close to the heart for them so you know they are behind it as opposed to just trying to look philanthropic.

Out of interest though, are they all still smoking?

Tico sure is - I just saw an interview with him from Japanese TV in mid-January and he was actively puffing away on camera
