It was a pretty horrible performance to be honest. The sound was awful, Jon overracted so much at the start he wore himself out and the song was cut to about 2 mins!

I think Have a Nice Day is going to prove difficult for the band to perform. The live8 performance of the song sucked and now apparently they did it again at the WMA's. They better start rehearsing this song.

LOL, I forgot I was at Live 8. I didn't think it sucked at Live 8 at all. Jon messed up the last chorus a bit but other than that it sounded fine.

After two lacklustre performances of HAND I've been starting to worry whether they'll be able to do it justice live. It's not really Jon's voice that's the problem, the whole thing just sounds flat. Then again when they did it at the AMAs it sounded great, so clearly it is possible for them to do it well live (I know the song's changed since then, but not by much) - I'm still optimistic they'll have it together for the tour.

I thought they did good at Live8.
HAND sounded way better there than it did at the WMA

It definitely sounded weak, but as others have said, that was more down to the mix than the band themselves...Jon was a bit flat but you couldn't here any background vocals either - I don't think Richie's mic was turned on - no guitar solo either...poor.
Was that Bobby Bandiera playing additional guitar?- it didn't look like him, although I've never seen him with the beard and the hat..

From the pictures I've seen, that guitarist you saw was John Shanks.
