I like both of them, but the lyrics woith Oasis are totally insane, with most of the time no meanings at all !!!
Bon Jovi pay more attention to that, obviously

I've seen both of them live : Jon is a show man, Liam is just a singer, but there was more power in the Oasis show

Oasis got soome amazin songs, Bon Jovi got some amazing albums

Anyway, there are really two different bands

I'd pick a Jovi gig over Oasis anyday. Oasis have some great songs right enough, they don't hold a candle to Bon Jovi live. Compare the energy of Jon, to Liam, who more often than not storms off mid-set.

ive seen oasis 4 times and bon jovi 5.

both of them are capable of doing gigs that range from absolutely shocking where they shouldn';t have bothered turning up to being absolute fantastic and put on gigs that would put 99.9% of bands to shame.

on average though i have to say if i was neutral on both of the bands and seen them a handful of times each, i'd probably regard oasis as the better overall.

Take it you've never listened to any of the songs Jon wrote alone then?

I've never quite got the hype with Oasis. Granted, I've never really listened to them much beyond the singles, and I will definitely admit that a) they manage to sell utter shitloads, and b) they do write good songs ... but I've never quite understood why they've become regarded as such a landmark in music. Maybe it's just because I wasn't really into music during the mid 90s Britpop thing that was their heyday, so I don't quite grasp the context, but I don't know, to me they just seem like a good band in a sea of good bands. Also, their songs can be very VERY repetitive, which irks me ... I mean, Champagne Supernova, good song, but it's not got much in the way of different sections has it?

canon in D doesn't have many different sections but it doesn't stop it being a great tune....

when they were at their heyday in the 90s and when they'd just come out it reaslly did seem like they were the saviours of rock n roll. i'm not totally sure i could explain why but there was something in the air. i can imagine it being akin to nirvana in the US earlier on in the decade.

Firstly, that's pure speculation, and saying that they are ALL Richie's songs originally is utterly ridiculous

And the number of songs published that Jon has written on his own is far higher than Richie's total of .... two

another very false statement. Jon has wrote many songs on his own. The 10 songs on Blaze Of Glory, half the songs on Keep the Faith for starters.

Not to mention the numerous songs he co-wrote without Richie.
