Can I just say something?

Why does it have to be 'bad day, has a cold, not well' etc.

No. Maybe Jon just wasn't in the best of shape that day or they were off. Excuses are fine but when it's each time something is off, it becomes tedious.

I'm not slagging off Jon or the band, they're gonna have off days. It's just annoying when everyone has to defend them in such a poor way.

It wastn that bad really, it was so-so... And lol, whats the problem with the stage and the band behind, its just a studio set-up, omg...

I think that Jon's voice sounds that way due to the fact that when they play live, they change the tone of the songs in order to make them more "accesible" to Jon's voice. So, since they are making playback, Jon is trying to fit the original music, which is really difficult for him live. I think this was a somewhat strange performance, it is -different- to see all the band so far from Jon. I think that they should get a little bit more respect.

It´s not so horrible. OK...that´s not their (or his?) best performance but not so bad. Tour will be more important than some TV show. Maybe "trying to be perfect" in those types of shows isn´t very good idea.
But the band without bass-guitarist? No comment

It got better as the song went on. Just can't get used to Richie being on that side (oh and what "look" was he going for, Richie looked like a space cadet).

Very strange to see the band so far back.

i actually thought jon sounded good there. i reckon superman tonight will be a staple on tour and he'll really get to grips with it in time.

Why go all the way to Germany for a crappy TV show to do a play-back of a 4 minute song anyway?
Seems ludicrous to me. The band were obviouly jet-lagged which effects the peformance and isn't going to promote anything!
