Default Bon Jovi wine, now PASTA sauce

Getting a bit embarrasing this, Bon Jovi wine was silly, but now we have "BONGIOVI" pasta sauces for sale.......I know Bon Jovi are a very much commercial band (and he has italian roots), but this is pure money grabbing....I wonder what they will apply the "Brand" to next......BON JOVI poopa-scoopas perhaps...

I don't think the sauce is directly related to Jon .... It's done by other(s) family member(s) who, yes, are making money out of the famous band name and now brand ...But I am pretty sure it is not a Jon's move or idea (it's supposedly a Jon's dad recipe )

That has been discussed before. The pasta sauce is by Jon's father, Mr. John Bongiovi senior.

I know it's been discussed in another thread but I just got the email too. Whether it's a family brand product or not, it's shocking seeing them use the band as a means to promote it.

What other "rock band" (term used in the loosest sense) would seriously do something as silly as that? All that can be certain is that Jon must be taking an almighty cut of the profits for him to have agreed to it.

Not to defend the stupidity of this (Cause it's incredibly stupid) but by using the Bongiovi spelling, this is by definition anyway, not using the Bon Jovi brand name. My guess would have to be that someone in the family not directly employed/associated with the band in a business sense. Let's face it, if Jon/the band wanted to release Bon Jovi brand pasta sauce, they would, judging by the other crap they stick the name on.

The whole idea has actually been kicked around by Tony for years. I'm glad to see he finally got it going. I have yet to try it.
