I don't think the US list is in any way representative of the world-wide sales. Just for comparison, here's the sales for Finland (in brackets, amount sold):

1. Cross Road (120 310)
2. Slippery When Wet (73 564)
3. These Days (64725)
4. Crush (62 506)
5. New Jersey (51126)
6. Keep the Faith (37022)

Note that the list is just for those albums that have been awarded gold or platinum, so no sales under 30 000 will reach this list.

For comparison, U2's best selling album in Finland is Actung Baby with 34 938 copies sold, and Bruce Springsteen's best in Born in the USA with 102 280 copies sold.

A curiosity point: Cross Road is the 3rd most sold foreign album in Finland ever (after Queen and Abba).

For singles:
5.000 for gold
10.000 for platinum

For albums:
15.000 for gold
30.000 platinum
60.000 doubleplatinum
90.000 tripleplatinum etc.

The numbers are small, but then again, we're a small country.

In Spain, Crossroad (I think also in Europe).
I think, in the world is....
1. Slippery (22 million)
2. Crossroad (20 million)
3. New Jersey (17 million)
4. Keep the faith (12 million)
5. These Days (11 million)
6. Crush (9 million)
7. Bounce (4 Million)
8. OWN (2 million)
9. 7800 (1)
10. Bon Jovi (1)

100 million + or -

Crush sold 11 million worldwide, not 9 million.
And the album Bon Jovi sold 2 million in the US alone, so it must be more than 1 million worldwide

Itīs possible...I wrote that because I know that Crush in 2001 had sold 8 million, and I suppose that now would be in 9.
I hope someone have the correct datum
