Thier biggest crime right now is not moving on from that album. Theyve released a decent CD in HAND, whats selling really well in the states (*or so im led to believe) but then playing more songs from TLFR on the "Have a nice day tour". Its really frustrating for me to hear that they bring back always only to play the TLFR version. For anyone who thinks im moaning, just compare the Wembley 95 Always to TLFR.

I do agree with Kathleen, when you start comparing the band as it is now to 10 or even just five years ago you do have to worry what the future holds for them.
But, would you rather him strain to sing Always in the full on way or do a much better job vocally with the TLFR version. I vote for the latter.

I am a proud believer in TLFR. Bed of Roses is my favorite (and also the band's most mature and meaningful) ballad. And I, for one, don't mind the ball-room kinda feel they gave this one. After hearing it the in the exact same vein for 10 years and loving every minute of it, I still enjoy listening to the new version. The only unlistenable song on that CD that I find beyond bad (and actually extremely creepy) is I'll be there for you. I picture the guy singing it outside my daughter's window peering in about to abduct her. tIt's that bad. But Prayer and BTBMB, and Everyday and BOR and even Always (to a much lesser degree; how can you not be let down by any version of this song after hearing the Wembley version?) I really do enjoy and wouldn't mind hearing them at a show. I think if they incorporated parts of the TLFR into the original or acoustic versions of these songs, it could be pretty powerful.

And at least I would get to hear some different material at a show for once.

I vote for the former. Id much rather hear a weak performance of Always, even if he misses the high notes you still get the killer intro, Solo, and depending in what mood Jons in the extra lyrics towards the end. Plus the fact that the crowd would go mad for it. The last time I heard Always live was Cardiff 01, I must admit listening to the bootleg it isnt a patch on when it was performed in the Mid nineties BUT I can only remember loving it when I was actually there.

The band are going to see that from the stage coz it wasn't just them.
I am not a casual fan, I've been listening to Bon Jovi for 20 years and if they played Diamond Ring at any show I attended I'd say "What's this shit?" aswell.

Also I'd much rather see Always with vocals in a lower key but solo's intact than TLFR version and believe me when you've waited 15 years for a Bon Jovi live album OWN is shite. I've got 2 triple cd 3 hour Dream Theater live albums that are incredible and they only record 1 show per tour. Bon Jovi had 16 years of material to choose from and picked rubbish versions of all their songs. It's so overproduced it doesn't even sound live.

I would have to say the live album beacuse like everyone is saying it sucks. I have so many homemade "live " cds with versions of songs 1,000,000 times better as I am sure that many of the people on these boards do as well. It is very odd how they chose to put the weakest versions of some of their best songs on this cd.. just very lazy.. we know they record or at least used to record every show during the SWW and NJ tour so its not like they were limited to pick from. It sucks just because we know it could have been so much better if they searched a little deeper and put a little more thought into it.. oh well i rarely listen to it same with TLFR i don't think i've listened to that in way over a year...

(cue me on the big screen) JBJ: "How good have you been? Oh My God!" (laughs, more teasing) JBJ: "You want it huh, you want it huh? Blood on Blood just for you, the good girl in the front row? The all request hour, the girl in the front row has just asked for Blood on Blood, ok, Merry Christmas young lady!" Amazing <3
