Apart from BJ TV when they were making Crush, they really haven't used the internet to their advantage since.
In years to come it maybe their only outlet to sell their music, what with MTV and radio pretty much ingoring them these days.

I think some of you missed my point. This thread is a prime example of people looking for reasons to complain. It's not about "Christmas" vs. "Holidays."

Yeah - they could assign each band member a holiday (Merry ****ing Kwanzaa, love Tico) and send everyone personalized ten-page letters, handwritten, and someone would be pissed they didn't get a letter from each member.

I've got to agree with Becky here, it doesn't matter what they do or don't do someone is going to find fault with it.

I really think alot of it is a generational thing. For those of you who grew up or are still growing up in this tech age, all this text messaging, instant access, cell phone 24/7 communication is as commom as your right arm, you just expect it to be there and work.

But for those of us who grew up pre all this technology, our relationship with it is different. We like it, we use it as it makes sense to us and our lives, but we aren't as connected to it as you all are.

I suspect that Jon and the band fall more into the latter group than the former. I'm not saying one is better than the other or that one is right and the other wrong, I just think that the internet and all of the technology is thought of and utilized differently, depending on you age.

I guessing that Def Leppard fall into that category aswell and look at them!!
They take full advantage of having a website and using it to connect with fans.

Yeah, but Def Leppard don't have a robot in the band.

Hugh's scared Bon Jovi away from technology, they don't want to turn dull.

DeF Lep is also playing to a smaller fan base than Jovi, hence they have to make themselves mor e aware maybe than Jovi does, or maybe someone in that band is a computer geek, which doesn't seem to be the case in BJ.

All I'm saying is that It doesn't seem that us "older" folk are as attached to our computers as the younger generation, so sometimes I think we overlook it as a tool for mass communication.
