It's my Life again way in the front, followed by Bad Name/Prayer going by that table giving the actual figures.

Guess it's like what I said earlier, if it's a generational thing one could argue IML is 'more popular' with however you would describe the demographic that listens to music via the internet (spotify, youtube, last fm).

Obviously I assume those who bought Slippery or Crossroad back in the day continue to listen to Livin' on a Prayer the old fashion way, and it's impossible to collate all the data on that.
Plus, Prayer is obviously still their best known song - I just thought some of the stats were interesting...and reflect the current setlist makeup.

There will never be any question in my mind as to what their most popular and biggest song is. It's Livin' On A Prayer.
The "It's my Life" video was available as a bonus on the Crush Tour VHS/DVD recorded in Zurich.

The Crush Tour and Greatest Hits DVDs both include the video.

Maybe on the US, most people here relate Bon Jovi with It's My Life, once I heard one saying "Yeah, Wanted Dead Or Alive!" but never Prayer.

Interesting, thanks.

Quite a defined split then between the two generations and/or certain markets.

Similar with other artists who have a career spanning decades, ask someone over 30 to name U2 songs and they'd prob go with the one of the big 3 of Joshua Tree or maybe 'One' of AB. Whereas to other people, U2 are Beautiful Day, Elevation and Vertigo etc.

In the UK it's definitely Livin' On A Prayer that would pop into most people's heads first. It's still incredibly popular here, I hear it on almost every night out.

I have a Brazilian friend and when I mentioned I like Bon Jovi to her the first song she mentioned was Misunderstood, I know it did well in Brazil but I didn't think it was that well known!

The way of determining it are flawed. The media push behind some songs are bigger than others. ie Born to Follow was released right in the big smack of the You Tube craze so it got far more views but doesn't necessarily mean it's that popular.

The big lead off single will get a lot of views simply because it's the first single off an album. Does that make sense to anyone?

Yeah, obviously there is always a large spike in interest over a new single and it's accompanying promotional push (just like a new album charting), but to get 100m+ views or similar stats, figures like that are built up over a more prolonged period and a better gauge to a songs continuing popularity. And sure anyway, didn't youtube explode around 2005, so the Crush and Bounce videos has been out for some time..so people are still seeking out that meterial more than just the normal spiked interest that I mentioned earlier.
