I agree - I would not expect a 55 year old guy like Tico to take a 5 year break. And Jon and Richie aren't getting any younger either.

Take a year for a new album - sure. Take 5 years off like the mid nineties and it's certain death.

That's exactly the point! Over exposed and burned out which shows in their songwriting and their shows.

I'm sure one year with the band doing absolutely nothing Bon Jovi related would harm them.
