a few people have mentioned Creed when talking about The Distance.
In simple terms, they sound similiar due to the guitar tunings (drop d?), and the chords are quite similar as is the typical creed-ish style of soft strumming of the chords before hitting the disortion peddal for the big anthemic chorus etc
this is where i get my bit in about meeting Mark tremonti and co (minus Scott Stapp of course) the other month after their Alter bridge gig. what? nobody cares. awk well
