Why not just buy a copy of the album, back it up and just play from that copy. You can legally do that.

copyright theft is theft wether the band actually loses any real revenue from it or not.

buying a dvd or software and making a personal copy for safety is legal.

recording a bootleg isn't and neither is copying it even if it is for personal use.

i will distroy them all then right away

i dont tend to buy them to often as they are normally rubish copys of things the only bootlegs i have are the two concerts iv bin to on cd im not getting rid of them

so have you ever put a cd on to tape or record on to tape / cd before cds or recorded anything of tv i think every ones guilty of breaking some form of copyright

putting a cd i've bought onto a tape or a copy to listen into the car isn't in breach of copyright.

I don't have a problem getting copied dvd's or software because the only people losin gmoney is the studio themselves.

doing it with music is taking money out of the artist, the performers and everyone involved in the production's pockets, you're talking pennies at a time but a coupla million people across the world = alot of pennies not being rightfully paid to the people.

Selling copies of official releases I believe is wrong, not just because it's illegal, but for the reasons you said. Trading copies of bootlegs I don't see as wrong, although selling bootlegs I believe is wrong.
