First of all, they have never been released at the same time on the same single.

Borderline was released in 1986 right before the Bad Name single was released in the rest of the world. It was released in Japan only.

Edge Of A Broken Heart was released in 1987 in the USA as a radio single only.

Jon and Richie often have said they should've released it because it would've been a massive hit. However, they've forgotten that it actually was released in the USA and it bombed; it entered at the 38th spot, but was gone the week after it. Jon nowadays thinks it should've been on Slippery.
