Yeah, it was originally intended to be an accoustic song. I've also read that Desmond Child in particular was not too happy about how the arrangement ended up.

No disrespect to Jon or Desmond, but the song is one of my favorite Bon Jovi Tunes. I love the beat.

Interesting. I've heard Jon say, a few years back mind you, that if he never had to sing this song again, he'd be happy. And it obviously didn't make Crossroad. Interesting.

He also said the same thing about Never Say Goodbye at one point. I honestly think that even if you liked a song when you wrote it - you might grow past it. At that point you would probably hate singing it all the time.

How can you grow past Born to be my baby, but not grow past Bad Name and Bad Mx? I rather see the latter two go from setlists than BTBMB any day.

I've also heard Jon say thats he doesnt see himself singing lyrics like ''OooOoo shes a little runaway'' in his forties. They played the song at every show of the HAND tour if i'm not mistaken, so bottom line is - dont take everything Jon says as fact.

One of the essential Bon Jovi questions...

what? bad Name and Bad Medicine are in different leagues than BTMB which is just a dumb little pop song which could be easily sung by Britney Spears. It's the only skipper on new Jersey for me

Sorry, but as you can see the word "bad" is the essential word here. Those two songs are some of the worst songs ever made by the band. I'm sorry if I tear down your walls now
Add One Wild Night to this list and you got my top3 list of bad BJ songs.

They are cheesy and ain't no fun anymore.

hmm...what????

regarding bad name and bad medicine, they are two of the songs which define Bon Jovi, like it or not. born to be my baby is just another song, only fans know.

oh really. you must have really different standards because that sentence applies better to BTBMB than to any other Jovi song which is still performed live.

The accoustic version of BTBMB is a special song to me, It really sends chills down my spine. Its great how theyve just kept it simple much better than the murdering on TLFR
