Rockercute28 I'd be very careful if I was you! i don't have a problem with you posting a link to your website and I even checked it out myself... like the bass player ! funny look... hope that's not you lol!

... but apparently other people do considering the way they viewed the first post.

I'd also like to point out that a lot of the posts after my big long one are repeating the type of questions I answered in that, and so my prophecy came true. No one could be bothered reading it.

I feel like I should promote something on the whole basis everyone else is.... errrrr....

"Jacobs Crackers"

I'm prepared now to be hung, drawn and quartered and please also ignore all my posts like you already have done.

Can't anyone see that while it may even be a good album, by Bon jovi's very high standards it is nowhere near the top of the list??? Off the point too... down with windows XP!

ARRRGGHHHHH Look, everyone has different opinions, OK? Now some people, they like the more pure rock side of it (although Undivided, Hook Me Up, Everyday and Bounce are pretty much pure rock, in fact Undivided is probably their hardest song ever). Some people prefer the softer, more emotional songs, some people want meaningful lyrics, some want cool lyrics, and some couldn't care less about the lyrics, and just want good music. Some people want loads of guitar riffs, and some people feel that there's a lot that can be done without them.

Now you think that the question is 'Is Bounce their worst album'? For me, the question at he moment is 'Is Bounce their best album'? They can't do something to please everyone, and shouldn't be expected to.

[quote="bounceiscrap"] There are few bands who are still holding up rock music, bands such as Deep Purple, Yes, Dio, Scorpions e.t.c. Listen to their latest albums, and some of them actually challange their early albums!
[quote]

I have heard the Scorpions latest studio cd entitled Eye II Eye, which I love and consider it to be the Scorpions best work; but it is not a rock album. It's very diverse and off the beaten path of rock n roll; as is Jon Bon Jovi's Destination Anywhere.

Ok, I've read every post totally, it was interesting. Yes even your long post, letitrock!!!

I agree, that Bounce is not there best. I love the album, I think there are some great songs on it, but yes, it can't compete with an album like Keep the Faith or These Days, but that's just my opinions and opinions differ.

bounceiscrap, what I don't like about you, is that you pretend to know everything. Because you are a good player doesn't mean that someone else can't disagree with you!!! Everything you said was your opinion, you have the right to have that. But you just act like nobody should like Bounce. Well, that's their opinion, if they think it rocks, it rocks for them!!!
You don't like bounce, that's ok with me, but that doesn't mean I or anybody else have to agree. Even though YOU know what R&R is.

I think sometimes ppl spend too much time dissecting the albums. - The way I look at it is - I put Bounce on, think it sounds great - listen to it again.

None of this: Oh my god, they use drum loops, the guitar solos r shorter than 2 mins etc, they use pop chords !?!? (define a pop chord??)...

Maybe I am going soft in my old age, but to me BJ still sound as good as they ever have.

If it sounds good to me....it is good.

I think we should not forget that first of all rock is a feeling, a mood. Bon Jovi feels like Bounce right now. If you don't feel it then it's your problem, not theirs.

I am really sick of so-called misicians who come here and pretend that they know everything about rock music and songwriting and so on. If you do then create your own band, compete with Bon Jovi honestly, face to face. And see if you can top Bon Jovi. And if you cannot then be RESPECTFUL to Bon Jovi's efforts, even if you don't approve them.

Some of you are just verrrry close-minded.

For one thing, when any of you diss an album, the album, right then, is considered "Pop"... Not hip-hop, not blues, not soul, just pop.

When are you going to get it into your minds that there are OTHER types of ROCK?

Other listings, other names, other sounds.. A lot of you think Bon Jovi are just a hard-rock band that MUST put out ALL hard rocking songs.

Rock songs can be heavy, mellow, fast, slow, mid-tempo... CERTAINLY involves much guitar, drums, keyboarding.. and often a lot of great touches to make it sound good.

wrong... Rock is not always meant to be HARD.. Richie Sambora's solo album "Undiscovered Soul" is a rock album. It's not the hardest or heaviest of albums, but it's rock.. It's got a blues style, yet not a blues style, and with a lot of great work. I love it.. It's not nearly as heavy as something like Keep The Faith, or even Bounce..but it's still rock, and I still love it.

I don't even want to do this anymore. This board is sick. SICK PEOPLE. Only some people here have logic and can state opinions without pissing people off..

Critics, I say.. Some of you should work for Rolling Stone.

O.K I'll hold my hands up, I haven't heard much Scorps stuff after the Crazy World, except for Cos I love you, and that other one, which are very good.
Yes the album is diverse, do we want that? I certainly don't. I listen to a verity of bands, for a verity of reasons. Bon Jovi do rock music with the best of them, but when they play about in other sounds it just ain't the same.
Also, has anybody ever turned up to a Bon Jovi gig late? Because of an exam last year, I could only get down to the Huddersfield gig for about 3. This meant I was quite a bit back from the front. I'm telling you this now, not one of those people around me knew the first thing about Bon Jovi. They screamed at It's My Life, and at Say it isn't so, but when the band went into Raise Your Hands (highlight of the set list), people were looking at one another as if to say, "this isn't on the greatest hits album!". I'll tell you something else, there was probably about 30,000 people behind me who didn't even know as much as the guys around me!
Bon Jovi arn't just writing the albums which they are in the mood to do, they are writing albums which will have a mass appeal, which will get them in the charts, and which will mean they can play to 40,000 people at a time. That is why, with the new craze in bands like Limp Biscit, Bon Jovi change their sound, so they are doing what is "in" at that time. It's so obvious. I wish Bon Jovi were doing what they felt like, I wish they were saying "**** the market, **** what people expect, **** the charts, I'm doing what I want to do". Isn't this the attitude which started everything off in the first place with Runaway??? The band should do what they feel like, that way there would be less fair weather fans, and a much better atmosphere subsequently.

I think people should take my opinion seriously. I'm justifying everything I'm saying, I'm telling you what's wrong, what needs changing, how they could change it, and with the exemption of Let it rock (who agreed with me), all anybody can say is your wrong. You people don't know what your talking about. As far as your concerned, I'm wrong because I'm criticising Bon Jovi. There is no more depth to your arguments than that. Just look at the size of posts. How can you seriously put forward an opinion, and justify it in such a short space. So yes, I am the only person who knows what I'm talking about, cos you guys don't have a clue. I expect people to read and think about what I've said, and anybody who puts forward a similar thought out argument (similar in quality, not in opinion), the I will read it and think about it, and respect it. But I can't respect, 'you don't know what your talking about', or 'you must be listening to a different album to us'. I'm also probably more of a fan than you people in an case, I seem to be the only person who is actually listening to the music.... it's the music that it's all about right????

Also, I'm not telling you the album is crap from a musicians perspective, but from a fan of rock music's point of view. I think anybody who is familiar with rock music (i.e not Bon Jovi and nobody else), is as qualified as me. I go to rock concerts, I live for rock music, and I'm telling you that the album is band. As a keyboard player, I'm telling you David's parts are rubbish. I know better than most what he is doing on the album, and as a keyboard player, I concentrate particularly on the keyboard parts (after hearing the album a few times of course). He doesn't have anything about him, and lets face it, in a cool band he's a bit of a geek. You have to appreciate I know a lot about what I’m saying here!

Also, if you haven’t noticed, on the bottom of each of my posts is a link to my BAND’s website. I play in a band, have written over 80 songs, and am really waiting for a break in my academic studies so I can take my music on full time. It seems quite clear that it is narrow minded people such as yourselves who refuse to visit the site, refuse to hear something different, so you’ve got to think who do we play for. A similar ‘promotion’ for our site was done on the Deep Purple messaging board, where several people have listened, and said we can consider them fans. They incidentally also value peoples opinions, and we have good discussion on there. It seems fitting that probably nobody will check out our website.

Finally, I only found out that Cinderella were on the Monsters of rock the other day. I was listening to the Uli Jon Roth interview on Total rock (it does some great shows), and heard the news then. But your right, it was originally just the three, Cinderella were added latter on.
