I have to say that, after not playing it for several months, and listening to it again this morning, my opinion of it has gone down significantly. Apart from Undivided and Misunderstood, I can't find anything that makes this album special at all. Jon's voice is just monotonous and he sings pretty much all the songs the same way. Richie's guitar playing is a highlight but again, doesn't inspire much given the material he's created in the past.

I found myself skipping tracks left, right and centre cos........................ I just got bored of it.

In the end I just put These Days on instead.

7 months on, I am begining to enjoy it more and more. Like a few ppl have said, I havent really played it for a month or so and put it on the other day and I was really suprised at how much I enjoyed it. Undivided, Everyday, Hook me up and Bounce rock. I even Love all the ballads You had me from hello and Open All Night. I am even starting to like The Distance and I used to hate it.

Aloha !

I bought Bounce, opened up my discman and did the disc in it and just pushed play. I didn't know what to expect since I only heard the demo's from the Everyday CD Maxi's, and the track Everyday itself, since I didn't download the songs before the official release. I liked the thought that if the demo's were this good, the songs should be really good, but no. My expectations were way too high. First Undivided, real cool, Everyday was okay, and then there was nothing left to like. Al the songs were dull, and not entertaining. Suddenly Hook Me Up appeared and I thought, hey, would this album finally start to rock ? But no, not until Bounce, but that track lasts only 3:12. So the album did not end in my CD Player, but on the shelf.

Now, 7 months later my opinion still hasn't changed. I still think the album is dull, and not entertaining. I put in in my CD player and again I just push play, Undivided still rocks, after that I press skip about eeeh, well until Bounce, and after that it goes back to the shelf. I thought it was me 7 months ago, but now suddenly no one really seems to like Bounce. Everybody thinks it's boring. It was only overrated because it featured heavy guitars. About the same happened 3 years ago with Crush, for example you should check the reviews about Crush on drycounty.com. It'seems like everybody seems to like it very much, but over here on bonjovicentral almost everybody thinks it sucks. To me Crush is underrated and Bounce is way overrated.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

When I first put the CD on, I thought it was a great album. I loved Undivided, Everyday, The Distance, Hook Me Up, and Bounce.
And now, I still really like it, I got slightly bored of it, but I still love the songs above and I still think it's a good album!

I listen to the Demos more than the album, I do like everyday and open all night. Joey is ok. Misunderstood has grown on me. I do prefer Crush also.
