i do realize that. but did you watch the interview on american xs? there richie said "i decided to cut back on the guitars" and something like how well this fits into the music industry because there are too many younger rock bands out there who concentrate very much on the guitars... well, its kinda confusing really

Think of it this way: When Richie was interviewed, he was a scientist from Iraq, and Jon was Saddam.

It seemed like the easiest way to explain it. Richie doesn't want to say that it was Jon's decision to have little guitars in the album, because if he did, him and his family would be tortured and murdered by Jon.
