Same here too. I remembered recently I hadn't looked for the Easter eggs the first time around and I came to the conclusion that I could live without them.

I think we'd all appreciate it even more if they just released the dates of the boxset songs

When it comes to an electric guitar there are guys like Keith and Brad Paisley who would give any rock guitarist a run for their money.

Becky

It is time for Becky to face the truth. Someone must tell her, so it is gonna be me. Keith Urban is not that great of a guitarist. He couldn't touch any rock guitarist that gets listed in a top 50 list. He's not even good by country standards. He couldnt touch the likes of Brad Paisley, who is an excellent country player, or Jimmy Olander, who is fantastic. He uses the same lick in almost every song. He's done it for 3 albums now. Its time for him to learn some new tricks. He doesnt play rhythm at all live. Most "great" guitarists play something other than just solos. Slash, Richie, EVH, they all play the entire song. Someone who knows the instrument and does not lust after the person playing it can back me up. Ice, your comments are welcome.

Nice one. I've yet to hear a song from Keith Urban but this is what I've been expecting him to be ever since Becky has come up with that guy. Maybe I will download some stuff, just to check out if he's really that overrated by Becky as I think he is.

I agree with what you said, but I couldn't comment on Urbans playing, I've never heard it.

Funny thing, i don't know if i want to look this dvd again, but if at some point i'm very bored i'll try to find some of these

As for Keith, i guess it's all about taste, why do you think you have to tell Becky he is not that great in your eyes ? what's the problem if she keeps telling us everyday how much his music makes her feel so good ?

I like her obsession and this made me curious about Keith and i'm so happy i know his music now because it has the same effect on me, i love his music his voice and his texts.
If he's better or not than another guitarist ? who cares ? he plays apparently very well. Enough to make his fans happy that's what counts.

Not possible to compare him to Slash, that's not the same thing at all !!! Slash and a banjo

There's a difference with telling everybody how much you like an artist and saying how good the artist is. Becky keeps telling how good Keith Urban is on guitar, but appearantly the guy is just average and Becky is blinded by her obsession and can't make a proper judgement anymore. Therefore she should stop posting those silly comparings with other artists as Keith URban most of the time doesn't hold up against the ones she's comparing him to.

I agree Seb. But this is not something she does to annoy people, she's just as you said completely blinded by her obsession/love for this artist. I think that's so good to love someone at this point She just feels the need to share this. And as she said she discovered the technical aspect of the instrument with Keith's playing. She is simply amazed and under the charm !
Now, if he is really a good guitarist or not, i don't know and again not only how he plays but the style, there is lots of people who would tell you he is a guitar god and others he's just a good player. But first if you don't know or like the style it's hard to judge. I think he plays very well for what i heard. But i haven't heard a lot and haven't seen him.
But what i know is that i love his music.

What i love too it's your new avatar

I think people tell other people ususally tell others that an artist is good because they like the artist. That's what Becky does, she tells us that he's got a great voice, plays great guitar and does excellent live shows and that's why she likes him. Don't everyone tell things like that? It's just like Richie fans saying I like Richie Sambora because of his excellent guitar playing and he's voice is great too.... they don't just say i like Richie.

If all she says is that she like him, she likes him alot and she likes him some more, and doesn't give her reasons, then there'll be people who'll say that she only likes him because of his looks or things like that.

As you mentioned before you haven't heard any Keith Urban songs yet then how can you say he's just average and how do you know that Becky's wrong and that she's only saying that because she's blinded by her obsession? I'm not much of a guitar player myself but i've heard 3 of his records and i think he's great.

People are saying that he's not as good as Slash or other great rock guitarists but you can't compare them because their style is different anyway. I don't think he uses the same licks in almost every song. I like the way he fused rock and country together in his music, it sounds fresh and it puts a smile on my face ; and he plays more than just the solos.

Richie fans saying they like Richie because of his guitarplaying is still something different than saying they like Richie because he's such a good guitarplayer. You're mixing things up and comparing the wrong things with eachother.

No, don't think so. He's ugly anyway. And she did give her reasons, however, she shouldn't say that he's a very good talented guitarplayer and all that shit, because it's quitte obvious that he isn't.

No. You think he's great because it sounds great to you. But because you're not that much of a guitar player yourself you will not be be able to say that he's a real good guitar player.

It doesn't matter if a style is different, guitar players can still be just as good. Slash and Eric Clapton don't play the same style as well, still you're able to compare them. Because they're good guitar players. And as you just said that you're not that much of a guitar player, how can you tell anybody that you don't think that he plays the same lick?

Okay, i know you're a good debator because i read the things you wrote on the other threads.
I don't understand what you said about the Richie thing.
I think he's a great player because he sound great to me, you're right about that, but that's what music is about isn't it? The most important thing is having it sounding good isn't it?
I can't play guitar well, so i'll talk about pianos then, you can't really compare a great classical pianoist and a great comptemporary pianoist, even though they learn the same scales and appegios. They might know the same techniques as each other, but they play different genres. Even if the classical painoist plays longer and more complicated songs then the comtemporary pianoist, it doesn't necessarily mean that he's better in piano playing than the comtemporary pianoist in every aspect. But really i don't think people would generally compare classical pianoist with comtemporary pianoists anyway.
